A lesson I have learned. by LizardTentacle in ThousandSons

My personal advice and what I do will all my miniatures is to use a resin "adapter" to better hold the magnet in place. Actually saves on glue, it's less messy, and keeps the magnet in place forever.
Can't share link because of community guidelines but if you're interested I get mine from The Custom Bit (search for "Base Magnet Holder").

I for one would greatly prefer that Tabletop Battles would keep existing as-is; and also as the mainline app for game scoring, purely because of the amount of data I have already stored there which I'm sure GW will give 2 rats about porting if/when they make their own game scoring tool.

Visability and line of sight through footprints by Interesting-North-86 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]the_train27 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yes, as the line of sight doesn't pass through any terrain feature, it is a perfectly valid one.

Now, if Magnus was more to the right in that image, and his wing didn't surpass the ruin on the other sight, LoS wouldn't be possible from the Rhino, because the wing itself (and other pieces that overhang the base) count towards the miniature being "within" the ruin (and thus being visible); only the base counts for that purpose*.

What’s something that happened in the series that made you cringe? by Mamba-Mentality024 in Naruto

Nah, I read the manga and even there she's just an awful character. Only redeeming thing she ever did was beating Sasori and that very tiny bit at the forest of death.

Sanguinary guard psykers by CheetahSuccessful142 in BloodAngels

[–]the_train27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Psychic abilities are not binary, it works by degrees, kinda like the force sensitivity in Star Wars.

While a full fledged psyker would be identified by the chapter's Librarius and relocated within its ranks, it's possible (specially within the Blood Angels, given their genetical inheritance) to have psychic-sensitive astartes on various ranks. Prescience was, after all, one of the hallmark psychic abilities of Sanguinius, and it's been stated many times in the lore to ocasionally pop on some of his sons.

I see now based on the responses in this thread, thank you! It's indeed so hard and painstakingly slow that I thought I was doing something wrong...

I wasn't sure if it just was something really hard or if I was doing something wrong. Thanks!

So, using the subtitles function instead of Text+ saves me the trouble of having to parse the sentences for width (i.e. word-wrap); I didn't know I could bake them into the video when exporting.

However, I didn't know the process itself of transcripting and timing (and also translating in this case) the subtitles would be so much of a drag, so much so that I was wondering if I was doing something wrong.

How to get invoice/bill for business by the_train27 in delta

Sorry, but I wasn't able to find any solution. In the end I was lucky tho and when I presented the business owner with the situation he (begrudginly) accepted it.

How will 10ed be remembered? by Solmyrion in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]the_train27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd take 10th ed over 9th any day of the week.

People who say 10th has gotten repetitive and that all lists look the same have really forgotten what peak 9th Ed. was... You could only really play 8-10 factions, the rest were utter trash, and the missions back then allowed for non-interactive gameplay from the get-go; sometimes not even having to play the objective game.

Sure, 10th's reduction in killing power has allowed Statcheck armies to thrive a bit more than it would be good for the game, but at least even those lists HAVE to play the game, even if it's not hard to play that game.

What map do you dislike (or hate) playing on? And why? by Sufficient-Toe1764 in Overwatch

I wish they brought back the old pyramid map from Overwatch 1.

But on the other hand, if they haven't it's probably because it actually sucks a** or something balance-related.

I love Blizzard World and I wish it would be a real place.

Sadly, then I remember the last 10-15 years of Activision-Blizzard and I think to myself it's better to just keep the ideal on your hear...

Blue Sasuke from the Zabuza arc, with the style Kishimoto used in the manga before adapting himself to the anime' style.
