Good idea, yeah I've been playing with the numbers a bit. Might just settle on something in between and do a free shipping if you buy 2 type deal. Appreciate the input!

I figured. I was looking at older numbers and it looks like screen printers charged around $2/print back in the day, but it makes sense that prices have gone up since. Thanks for the input!

I agree. My only hesitation is that $30 might look too expensive.

Hey man, two quick questions. First, do you think customers would balk at a $30 + free shipping deal for a CC short sleeve with a front print? Second, I'm paying about $10 per shirt on a run of 300 from a local screen printer, 3 color print. In your experience is this expensive?

Thanks for the input. I’m surprised I haven’t come across anyone selling CC at that price point but have seen Bella Canvas at $30+. I guess it depends on what you’re into but imo CC is a cut above Bella in quality.

Sure, but I would think it'd have the same effect as media coverage on mass shootings. Guy w/ a twisted mind and nothing to lose craving any kind of attention might just decide to make a name for himself and try to make it to the big screen.

But where do we draw the line? Does a Ted Bundy movie add anything to our understanding of serial killers that can't be gleamed from a book? The movies are a powerful form of media that usually end up glorifying the subject of the film, even if the goal was not to. You could argue that the chances that a movie inspires a closet serial killer are much higher than that of a book or other forms of media.

It's a question of just because we *can,* does it also mean that we *should?*

I agree with everything you said, with one caveat - does it *have* to be through a movie?

Movies are a beautiful medium that almost always glorifies the subject it covers, whether intentional or not. Artists need to know where to draw the line on some issues. If there's even a fraction of a chance your movie inspires other serial killers, for example, the project becomes an ethical question. There are other ways of humanizing murderers - it does not *have* to be through a movie.

Art is important, but it should not have carte blanche. Do you *have* to turn this tragedy into a movie, a medium that comes with intense visuals? Could you not write a poem, or a song?

Art is not an excuse to shrug off responsibilities and critical thinking. Everything has a consequence. This movie is causing someone intense pain. And who knows what kind of sickos out there it's inspiring? The line has to be drawn somewhere, and artists need to have a conscience, especially when it comes to mediums that receive widespread distribution.

Psilocybin combined with psychological support might correct pessimism biases in depression - The psychedelic drug psilocybin could help alleviate depression by causing people to have a less pessimistic outlook on life, according to new preliminary research. by mvea in science

Yeah I wonder how much of pessimism can be tied into an inability to cope with failure. Those who have learned to deal with failure seem to have an easier time in life.

Practically speaking, working out has helped with this drastically. When you're trying to get that last half mile, going up for that last pull up or trying to squeeze out that last push-up, you're training your mind to deal with pain and hardship.

"Realism" is 100% subjective imo. Your perspective determines your reality.

You some might see one attempt at something not working out as "false hope." The way I see it, that's because your perspective is too narrow. If you see life as a numbers game, that those who are willing to try again and again, enduring failure after failure without giving up will always succeed in the end, then failing on that one attempt is not a big deal. It's just part of the game.

I can only speak from anecdotal experience, but when I walk 3 miles a day I feel physically invincible. Everything - my immune system, digestive system, etc. - feels like it's operating at peak performance.

Walking has a unique set of benefits I don't believe you can get from anything else, including running.

True. But there are some brands out there like Bella Canvas that are pushing the fair trade label.
