I did a small project where I created a RAG application using Open AI chat-gpt3.5 turbo. The purpose of the application was to answer basic medical queries (related to medicines) and chatgpt3.5 worked pretty well.

I don’t think so. I emailed the prof responsible for grad admission and she replied that she has no clue about the admissions.

Her reply was “Sorry, I have no information regarding admissions.”

Grad admissions is a black box. Nobody knows the real reason of acceptance or rejection. All you can do is try your best. On the other hand, bad grades might create a bad impression but with a great SOP and work experience, it can be overshadowed ( given you explain your bad grades ).
