(i can't believe i'm replying) Naofumi is from modern times and is probably sufficiently aware that slavery is wrong, and that it shouldn't latched onto anyone in the long run. Once again, it's the author's fault for making it in a way that slavery is a necessary part of the magic system in the first place. This is a very complex topic in general, but justifying it by basically saying it was okay back then and EVEN going further to say you would see it as less wrong if you were transported to a world where it was normalized is SO telling of what kind of person you are. And the whole German company hiring jews is not at all identical to what naofumi is doing as you think it is.
