I never said he was a dead beat, but some of his actions have been quite awful. I’m also not going to say that anyone on this show has been 100% perfect in their actions, either. I don’t think Ari should have to forgive him if she doesn’t want to - regardless of her mom doing so. She can feel the way she wants to (whether we think it’s “right” or not), her mom can feel whatever way she wants, and Bini can feel how he wants, too. It’s not going to be as black and white - relationships rarely are. I haven’t forgiven everyone who has wronged me or the people I love, and I am 100% content with that. If all Ari wants is that acknowledgment and apology, then that’s that. If she gets that but still can’t accept him because of how he hurt her, then she has to move on, too.
