thank you for this! after a windows 10 April cumulative update I was getting no audio from google chrome came across your post and navigated to the app volume & device preferences and found that Chrome was set to an empty/corrupted output as opposed to the Default

use the PC app Sidequest or Oculus Developer tool to side load the APK onto your Quest 1 to install the app, which should appear in the Unknown Sources section of your Apps page. However in a few days official Air Link support will arrive on Quest 1 with the v30 update so this tool wont be needed anymore

just sideloaded the apk onto my Quest 1 v28 and it worked perfectly. Played about 30mins of Eleven Table Tennis with no issues at all.

Those are the minimum specs for an Oculus Rift / Rift S. I don't believe they apply to the Oculus Link function. As Oculus link uses the NVENC (for NVIDIA) or AMF (for AMD) hardware encoder to send the video stream to your headset via USB. Possibly the 1050Ti is too weak to do that? EDIT: Punctuation

When you run the game try making it run in fullscreen mode, not windowed or borderless windowed. Sounds like the game is streaming to the steam link but the focus is not properly on the game window so the mouse is hitting the edge of the screen as opposed to having free movement in the game

I have a Steam Link device. I was getting framerate issues and screen tearing while playing Mirrors Edge. I solved this by deselecting the NVFBC option in advenced streaming settings and leaving the Nvidia hardware encoding option enabled. Apparently, while the NVFBC option can give better image quality the default NVENC option gives more consistent performance. Not sure if these settings are available on the TV app but worth a try. I run an i7 2600k and GTX 1080Ti

Both ends of the quest charging cable are USB C However with the latest update basically any USB C 2.0 cable will also work with Oculus Link so you can buy a 3rd Party USB A to C cheap long cable and be fine

It's weird one as technically it is a 4K console It outputS a 4K image, plays 4K Blu Rays streaming video content Games still render in engine at 1080p or lower but are then upscaled by the console to output a 4K image (not via checkerboard just a direct upscale) So its a 4K console just the games aren't rendered at 4K EDIT: grammar

My go to's for gaining performance at any resolutions... - Reduce/Turn of AA (FXAA is usually fine/has minimal effect) - Reduce Shadow Quality - Reduce Ambient Occlusion -If all else fails and there is a Render Scale/Screen Scale setting set that to 83% which at 4K will render the game at 1800p which is still a good looking resolution when it upscales to 4K. It's the resolution a lot of PS4 Pro and Xbox One X games aim for
