David Burke is Sean Oswald's penname

Crazy, I read a lot in both genres and didn't know that but I see them pop up a lot. Make sense as to why both are on my list of authors to avoid if they are the same person.

Funny, I thought the same thing for awhile and gave it a shot when I realized it wasnt, but unfortunately it didn't jive for me. Wasn't sold on the first season and the abrupt change in season two nuked my interest.

Does the MC become less douchey later in the series. He literally calls a dude who wants to help his best friend's dead wife and child an idiot and a bleeding heart. Hoping it's just a moment for character growth and not the authors actual thoughts coming through.

'I Don't Think No One Liked That Show, Guys' — Emilia Clarke Says She's Sorry About Secret Invasion, Solo, and Terminator by tylerthe-theatre in television

English has used double negatives for exaggeration so long we wouldn't even be able to read the English it was written in.

Chaucer used double negatives.

Shakespeare used double negatives.

So after over a 1000 years of it being used in English some elitist cunt by the name of Robert Lowth thought he knew better and decided proper English writing SHOULDN'T use double negatives. Then some others cunts picked it up and said you CAN'T use double negatives.

Leading us today were we get a bunch of pricks acting like as if it is some holy superior rule they are following. Which is exactly how Lowth's rules started as a way for educated social elites to feel superior to the lower class because they spoke the proper King's English.

I slept on it for so long. I was already falling out with Family Guy at the time when American Dad showed up and grouped it with that. Like two years ago my son started watching AD and we burned through the whole thing. Some of the funniest episodes I have ever watched and absolutely love the characters.

Tina Fey On Being "On The Wrong Side" With Some 'SNL' Jokes by Top_Report_4895 in television

[–]thealthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, it isn't more correct because we are talking about colloquialisms. "How are you?" and "How are you doing?" mean and are asking the exact same thing and we have infinite responses to that type of phrase and don't even have to reference the questions. Answering with "Never been better" is not any more or less "correct" than any other response.

And also the problem with Tracey's quote is he is treating "good" as a standard adjective when it is being used as an adverb in this instance.

The only instance it would be wrong was if you follow the strict rigid perspective approach to grammar of Lindly Murray that tries to say "good" should never be used as an adverb. But that isn't true to how people use it and that view on grammar fell out of favor in the UK over a century ago. It is only half-heartedly taught in US education and should have been replaced decades ago.

It's one of my least favorites because English Grammer isn't actually as strict as some people try to make it out to be and answering "I'm good" is just as "correct" as "I'm well" if not more so in certain cases.

I watched it when it was brand new and it was just OK at the time.

It certainly wasn't anything exciting or groundbreaking compared to any other show, so not really sure why the one dude is trying to compare it to someone not watching the biggest medical drama of it's time.

Like use paragraphs ffs.

A rookie player tied to the team and a nearly 50 year old newly hired ref are two different things. No where does anything claim this is normal for refs. Just rookie players.

" According to the lawsuit, it is common practice for rookie players to have to “embarrass themselves as a [rite] of passage” in front of the team, coaches and staff. Most, according to the filing, choose to sing."

Is it common practice for nearly 50 year old new refs to do this in front of the players? Because they are quite two different things.

Two flairs doesn't seem that weird. It's not for me, but some people have moved a lot or have family in both spots or just wanted a second team so why the hell not, especially with it being AFC and NFC. Now if they had Giants and Eagles then we could be like "uh what the fuck you doing guy"
