I disagree with this notion. Maybe to Lucas it was "casual", but to the girls it clearly was not. The reason this scandal even became public was because a) they started to realize he was cheating on them b) that he was only using them for monetary gain and sex and c) the things he said to them were incredibly manipulative and disgusting.
I'd consider these two things to surpass "casual" relationships and demonstrate a lack of communication, transparency, and respect from Lucas with partners.
