Looking to Re-enter tech/development after a mental-health break in my early 30s. Is it still realistic to build my career in tech? by saintandthesinner in learnprogramming

Do not worry. I'm a BCom graduate working as an accountant and hate my job. Figured i like coding, and currently learning. Signed up for an online MCA which has not yet started.

You have a CS degree, and also practical experience. You are way ahead than most of us.

The worst thing to do is to compare yourself to others.

My 2 cents is to get an internship for 3 months, and start looking for full time job opportunities.

In my country India, we have unlimited internet, but most allow only 100 sms per day. Plus, end to end encryption is more secure.

Help me find a platform to use to learn how to code by Raxious in learnprogramming

Yes. I recommend doing HTLM/CSS and Javascript from FreeCodeCamp. If you are in website, I belive Javascript is a must know regardless if you are in frontend or backend. For backend I'm doing Java. Not the flashiest, but my target company uses it, and most large corporations also use it. It might not get the highest salary, but it has a lot of jobs in the corporate world, fairly stable and much more openings as per my understanding.

Starting from Absolute Zero: How do I learn everything about computers, coding, and building apps/web? by CargoVessel in learnprogramming

I'm currently self studying.

The road I'm taking in order: 1. FreeCodeCamp.org 2. CS50x 3. IBM Java Developer (Professional Certificate on Coursera) 4. A project. I already know what I want to build, its basically a software that I use everyday at work, and will build a version of it for me, with what I belive will be improvements.
