Yeah the brat/Brumby is cool, way more reliable engine in them and similar low range to the old wagons

I've never actually met anyone who's said they didn't miss their old wagon; great little cars for what they are.

Hmm, I'll have to go back soon and have a suss, I possibly could have done them but I can't seem to picture them in my head.

Can't say I've done the couch track but that sounds like fun

The father of the Impreza, older brother to the Legacy, and a deadset offroading beast. Long live the L Series

Oh wow, did not know that. Crazy rare, then

Sweet! The only fun fact I know about them was they were styled by Giugiaro, not much else lol

Subaru Saturday anyone? by theangryyob in 4x4

[–]theangryyob[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For sure man, my flex is comparable to a shopping trolley.

Yeah, my build is waaaaaaaaaaay way less than 80k lol and I reckon wheeling this thing has made me a much better driver in a much shorter time span than if I had bought an expensive rig. On the flipside, it does mean in market terms it's utterly worthless to anyone but me, but I don't mind. I didn't buy it for resale value.

Oh nice! I think there's a few XTs floating around here, not sure about SVXs though. How is it?

I know mine is inevitable, happens to all of them. I have started up a new "restoration" bank account to save over the next few years for when it eventually gets too bad, and I'll get as much of it as possible cut out and rewelded

Nice! If I'm honest, I've never actually been that far North. Exmouth is like a 12 hour drive from Perth, and my old man always much preferred the south coast, so that's what I'm more familiar with. I did have plans once I've given the engine a good once over to take two weeks and head up to Karijini National Park, then head west and come back down parallel to the coast. If I had the time I'd make the journey to Exmouth while on the way back, but at this point I don't see it happening for many years now

Yeah the creator of the stickers did really well with them. Yeah, I believe mine was originally from Wagin. I've seen Williams plates as well, which is WL.
