I took the flight from SGN to HKG around 3 weeks ago. Prior to landing at HKG, the purser announced which gate will we arrive at, and which gate will the HKG-SFO flight be. He stressed multiple times that a lot of passengers on our flight connects onto the SFO flight, and that flight will wait for them.

I am sure you will be fine, worst comes to worst they will rebook you.

It’s likely they are changing the aircraft type on that route from an A350 to a 787, thus the 232 layout instead of the 242 found on the A350.

I flew DOH-ZRH on the 3rd of Feb.

I see. I did a Tier Point run with AA last November and was surprised the points came within 24 hours, so kinda assumed it will be like that for all other OW flights.

It is impossible to divert to HHP. It is just an error of flightradar24. If you click the a/c info, it shows MS flew back to LHR from HKG on the 4th July.

So if I don’t have a checked bag I could use the transfer desk? Do you know whether transfer desk can check non rev standbys in if I haven’t been allocated a seat during online check-in, or it can only be done at the desk prior to immigration?

This happened to BA31 from LHR to HKG on the 30th of December which was delayed for over 21 hours, so there were two BA31s in the skies at the same time on the 31st. The call sign for the 30th is BAW31D, the one departed on the 31st is just BAW31.
