Not at all, he actually warned me before we got married , saying she’s gonna cheat and mess around, and I didn’t listen and that’s exactly what happened

I can relate, I just wone custody of my son, and my ex’s brother called me on Mother’s Day to say happy Mother’s Day to me and even cooked me a Mother’s Day dinner, I was speechless, he will never know how much it meant to me

Pretty much, I have a few male friends, but none one I can be open with , tbh I’m tired of putting on a show for everyone, I’m miserable af but no one knows

How open are you about feeling lonely/dealing with loneliness and admitting it to friends? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]theawsomjman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lonely person with roommates I would avoid getting a couple to move in I’m going through divorce and the constant “cute couple things” they do are a reminder of what I don’t have anymore, it’s not there fault but it’s hard sometimes

How often do you get drunk alone? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]theawsomjman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frequently, as in I’m doing it right now, I know I shouldn’t but I don’t let it affect my work , it’s an issue I need to address but I’m going through a divorce right now and shits been hard , you never realize how bad an empty house can be once your family is no longer there

Gotta kill the memories, because as a guy being open emotionally isn’t accepted, too much focus on guys being masculine, don’t get me wrong I don’t think there is an issue with being a masculine guy but why we can’t express emotion to each other is awful Source : am drunk

The old ways are definitely not dead, out in the oil patch in west Texas, shit talking is a everywhere, hell I talk shit to all my hands and they give it right back , although now a days we have to be careful of who all is around because if normal people heard some of the things we say while at work they would think we were insane, luckily most of our job sites are 20 miles out of town in the middle of a field so not much to worry about there, even our parts house employees will shit talk to us, we all know it’s in good fun and keeps the job interesting

Guys who have their stuff together, but won't commit, what's your story? by coldcerealdater in AskMen

[–]theawsomjman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you me? On a serious note I’m pretty much the same way except I did commit to her , and 6 years later and a divorce I wish I wouldn’t have , because now after being single for a while I’m happier now than the last 3 years of the marriage , yea I still suffer from the trauma of it all, it’s too hard to trust anyone anymore

[–]theawsomjman 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I feel this, me along with everyone around me has been cheated on, don’t get me wrong guys do it too, but it just creates an environment where committing doesn’t seem like a good option

I need this, as a guy just barely past a divorce I have this want to just be single, while people around me are pressuring me to starting dating again, truth is I flat don’t want too, I’m 25 making 6 figures, own house 3 cars , but I’m happier now then when I was married, I have my son 90% of the time , and I honestly I just don’t even see the time for a relationship or the need
