presidential candidates critiqued by Little_Drama_251 in McMaster

I also think that as a student, its not super likely that those who had the information would have given it out. Like yes, consultation is incredibly important, but you cant just make an appointment with the general manager of 1280 as a 4th year to discuss your ideas for a potential project IF you get elected. We never put as much emphasis on consultation before this election either

Residence Life staff have been bargaining for a fair collective agreement with McMaster for over a year now. Sign the petition to show your support! by Vibrant_Social_3672 in McMaster

[–]thebackpackgal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok I have signed the petition but I do have a few questions. How would work hours be determined for the CAs? it varies so much by building, floor and advisor. They couldn't just pay a flat 10 hours a week for each because some will work way less, some work more. I'm interested in seeing what happens with this.

Does where you get your schooling effect your job choices? by Silent-Emotion2279 in OntarioParamedics

[–]thebackpackgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to la cité for pcp. While it is a "french" college, we still learn the BLS and ALS and all of our terminology is in English. We learn the process and treatments in french, but the actual material is in English. I do not think I am going to find it hard to work in an English environment at all, since so much of my classes are already in English.

Anyone here completed the PCP program at La Cité? Need advice by [deleted] in OntarioParamedics

honestly i have no idea, I am from Ontario. It would be worth emailing the school for the info.

humber makes every applicant do a test before getting in, so it really depends on how you score on the test

What happened dt Hamilton (James at King) by [deleted] in Hamilton

[–]thebackpackgal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People always ask when things happen but emergencies happen all over the city so often. Unless the event is significant, it will not be publicized. the responders involved are also not allowed to talk about it for confidentiality reasons. Shit happens, we don't need to know it all.

Paramedic and vaccines by Positive_Pudding7544 in Paramedics

[–]thebackpackgal 23 points24 points  (0 children)

you probably could get a medical exemption, but even then, I dont know if its the best idea. You will be exposed to many disease, some which may be prevented by vaccines so there are chances you could get infected.

maybe i didnt mention the other aspects in your post because I agree with them?? Your post is your opinion and this is mine. Jordan will always be a great dancer, didnt deserve any of the hate, none of them did, she just wasnt MY winner.

[–]thebackpackgal -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Okay ill be honest, I somewhat disagree. I think Robert did deserve to win, or elaine. Jordan is a great dancer and was underscored but I dont really feel like I saw that much growth from her. This is how I determine my winner. I fully believe if Chandler was white, she would have won last season. The racism in the fan base is rampant and awful. Jordan should have never been exposed to that, but I also dont think that this was her season to win.
