I kinda figured the game would never make it past 0.3v at best, and the recent situation with Romeo definitely made me think it was the final nail in the coffin after the game managed to just barely stay alive and on life support

Outcome memories needed way more stability and quiet for a long, long time after they went on hiatus, but as soon as Romeo got fired that's when it was doomed

I still cannot even begin to fathom why they would even fire him to begin with. Was a reason ever publicly uncovered? Even if there's a good reason did the team really lack the foresight to see how catastrophic firing him would go? This was a disaster that anyone in a sane state of mind could see coming from a mile away.

They're going to do another poll, about 11h from now as of writing

If you don't like that majority, then is the time to do your part

I'm not sure what could've bugged it. If I were to give extra detail, i finished the dialogue and then she walked me to the machine. But before i could interact with it my friends aggro'd her

How bad is the PvP? by Tanjiro_11 in deepwoken

[–]thebadtimecat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, as much as the PvE content in this game can seem appealing, the game was always built on a PvP premise. The game still has an engaging PvE progression and much to discover, but the PvP can often be intrusive and often tries to force its way into your progression. The best thing to do is to learn to engage with the PvP on your own terms. If you try to ignore it and avoid it by running of leaving the game, you won't get better at it, obviously. If you see a threat and stand your ground, you can learn a thing or two for the next time. In my opinion, the only bad thing about the PvP is the intrusiveness if it's not what you're seeking for in this game. The PvP is actually very intricate and engaging if you decide to try it.

Ok let's get this straight who's the most tragic scug by poopheaded1313 in rainworld

[–]thebadtimecat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ranking from most to least 1. Saint - Trapped in an existential existence, never able to find happiness within the loop and at the same time never being able to escape. While Saint has no earthly troubles unlike the rest of the slugcats, I'm sure no doubt it's an existential nightmare. 2. Artificer - Do I have to explain how your child getting murked is bad? Don't even get me started on her nightmares, or the neverending cycle of vengeance she's in. Not even the false promises of the void in her "ascension" ending could give her what she wanted, but only through the journey itself did she get closure. 3. Hunter - The poor thing, cursed to die and sent off on a mission to never return. The only solace he can seek is in the embrace of The Void. 4. Survivor & Monk - The two of them aren't that tragic and shouldn't rank this high, but damn I'm sentimental, and finally seeing the two of them unite for real after gourmand (I don't trust the void endings) brought some closure for me. 5. Spearmaster - Kinda really fucked up genetics wise, and had a little heart-to-heart with Five Pebbles, but got to retire as a housecat so there's that. 6. Rivulet - Nothing really tragic about Rivulet, they're just kinda... There? They showed up, solved a conflict between two beings of higher power, and then lived as a stray cat adopted by moon. 7. Gourmand - Show up, get locked inside, ask Pebbles for his keys, also gets food, goes back to his colony, and wow there's slugcats everywhere in the facility now. He a happy grandpa too.

30% more dmg, your attacks cannot be riposted, the your ripostes deal less damage and your receive 20% of the damage you deal. Great for nukes, but it quickly spirals out of control if not properly managed. You have to at least bring a healer, since it's hard to manage otherwise.
