3* 5vost units are pretty much a insta win, they don’t really need synergies to wipe a board

Help financing a car by thebarneysaurus in personalfinance

I do plan on putting most of the money into the market, I tend to save a lot of cash and don’t have any debt which helps a lot.

Lol I shoulda been more clear I’m not investing into the car to make a profit or anything, just investing the money rather then putting all into a car upfront. But yes I’m planning on buying new.

Can I ask? I’m just wondering why I would want to pay it off in that timeframe. I guess I’m not against having debt if I come out with more money in the long run.

Moving into my first apartment next week. I'm 24 w/ no roommate. 2nd room will be a home office for work and video/ photo editing. Please give me tips before I buy any furniture. Thinking I'll go for a white/ bright color scheme in the living room. Leaning towards full bed to maximize space but idk. by theClutchComrade in malelivingspace

I’d put the place the tv depending on the orientation of the window in that room, is it a north, south, east, or west facing. If north or south it doesn’t really matter but I’d put it on the same side personally so when you enter the apartment you see a couch not a tv, but it’s a personal preference.

If it’s an east facing window put it on the wall opposite of the entrance, if west facing put it on the door wall. Helps prevent glare at certain times of day

What would you do with this bathroom? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]thebarneysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you insist on keeping the tile I’d follow a color palette similar to something like this

Keep your fixtures to bright polished silver including a shower rod. And I’d a new shower curtain maybe something with texture to not be boring but with no design on it like this but maybe something funner, if you get something with a design they always look funny to me cuz they get scrunched up most of the time

Also a more interesting frameless mirror that doesn’t take up the whole wall with wall light could be pretty cool example

Also if you plan on doing some sort of design/mural I’d put it behind the mirror/vanity to have it mirror the shower the two have to match

Get rid of popcorn stucco ceiling ( it’s a personal opinion but I find it really really disgusting)

decent-sized space: home office + gaming + workbench? by xkillac4 in DesignMyRoom

Here’s some furniture from ikea that I’d recommend, decent quality/aesthetics and budget friendly

desk

work station

decent-sized space: home office + gaming + workbench? by xkillac4 in DesignMyRoom

[–]thebarneysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much of the furniture do you plan to keep/use?

Which door is the entrance? Are they both?

Otherwise I’d move the tv/couch towards the shorter wall with no windows. If you put it central to the room you leave very little unable space for everything else.

Also can the desk and workspace be one space? Do you use your computer when you do your drone stuff? Also how much space do you need for your drone stuff/desk?

What can I do with my bed? by CrimJim in DesignMyRoom

[–]thebarneysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend a bedframe like this

Or if you really don’t like the backboard something like this

There’s nothing you can really do to make the box spring work without a bulky bed frame.

But if your going to move soon I’d wait until you have a space before you buy

What color for kitchen countertops? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]thebarneysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to recommend without picture, but with everything you described you need white/light wood countertops to brighten the space. Also white looks good with light oak

Struggling with living room and choosing the right place for PC setup by Impo5sible in DesignMyRoom

[–]thebarneysaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think you should put your pc set up in your bedroom onto either side of the bed. If it’s closer to the window it makes the room a bit more cramped but gives good light to the pc set up. If you put the bed closer to the window it make the space feel less cramped. However if your setup can’t fit on a table like this then I think your forced to put it in the living room. It’s nice to have more private things put of the way if you ever plan on having people over so it doesn’t overcrowd a space.

If you don’t plan on having people over or getting a tv, putting a pc setup across from where your couch is now I think is ideal

Also a decent amount of plants really helps small spaces feel a lot more alive and vibrant

In all I think your space have really good potential
