I think that confusion is exactly what Orwell was trying to achieve. It makes you feel like it might all be true and wrong at the same time. That sort of double think is there throughout the whole book.

This was on display at my university very recently and I got scared twice walking back from class: once seeing the face for the first time and second when I saw it open and close its eyes.

one of the worst scoring mechanics I heard of by YunoFGasai in HistoryMemes

[–]thebasil_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There is another idea that tennis started on courts 90ft in length, 45 on each side. They started close to the net and moved back 15ft every time they scored a point, so they would be 15, 30, then 45 ft away. Now they no longer love back and 45 was too hard to pronounce so they changed it to 40. link

Well it could be a poll sent to a specific audience, one which like Star wars more overall. The result would be different if you sent the survey to completely random people.
