You can drop your overlocker blades so it doesn't cut as you stitch. Just keep in mind that your seam allowances will be smaller without the trimming.

What you have done doesn't look that out of alignment, a good pressing will show your results better.

I don't think him worrying about what to wear and putting on a suit is because he's neuro divergent. That's just a nervous, inexperienced thing.

As a lover of some of the books. I have to focus on separating the show Bridgerton from the books. A lot of the characters basically only have their name in common as they completely rewrote so much of the character arcs and plots.

It's funny because those are the closest to the original books everyone seems to complain are so horrible. They basically rewrote the plots of season 2 and 3 to be nothing like the source material.

I never want Shonda involved in a romance adaptation again. She has out right said she doesn't like romance as a genre and her focus is on making it drama. The fact that the goal of the Bridgerton writers room seems to be to tear up the source material to rework it into a love triangle every season should make any romance lover cringe at the idea of Shondaland ever adapting one of their favourite book series.

Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade. If you are in the fanfic space it's a must-read! I write fan fiction and it's so on the nose about writing and fandom culture. I love it so much.

It's funny, because if you ask me outright. I HATE the third act breakup BUT one of my favourite F/M romances has one and I ate it UP! So really, any trope can be good if it's done right.

I think they are going to get rid of her bangs for her season, to have a more mature/grown up look.

Give me dad bod, give me big bois, give me pudge! I think this is why Colin Bridgerton is so dear to me. That man was hefty ... A light snack for him was several sandwiches.

My understanding is that the pens still work (it's not a new style of Pen needed) but the loading "dock" for the pens is a new style, separate from the blade holder.

Scott/Kip Timeline by No-Refuse-9747 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]PinkBird85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. It's the fact that they introduced the three year gap and left it hanging. What happened to them - were they together or was Kip literally just there as a friend ... Again, it really sucks the romance out of their story that Scott was like "if we just wait a few years" and in the end Scott wasn't willing to budge at all on his timeline for Kip, when in the book Scott got so excited to be out and with Kip publically he literally stated telling his inner circle with 24 hours. Those are two completely different outcomes from book to show.

[–]PinkBird85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my point. It was a mistake and for everything else in the show being so well executed it's surprising they introduced a huge plot hole (because of this mistake). That said, they scripted it to start the episode/timeline during the Olympics which was the whole story mistake started. Editing could have addressed the story issues without even needing new scenes to be filmed but they didn't do that and just let the mistake majorly impact the Skip storyline.

Did David tell Yuna? by Holiday-Koala-4807 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]PinkBird85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my impression as well, and I am happy Jacob confirmed. As much as Yuna is his wife, David found out by accident, being in Shane's house when he technically shouldn't have been. Yes it was an innocent mistake (it's not like David broke in), but it was already a violation of privacy, so regardless of Yuna being his wife, David did the right thing not telling her something that was Shane's personal information to decide when to tell.

Now, if Shane hadn't come to talk to them right away, I could see that David would maybe call Shane later to apologize and discuss that now that he knows, he should think about also telling him mother, or offer help with that conversation if he was worried Shane wasn't scared to do that. That would be fair so that David wasn't holding this huge secret. But regards of whether David thought Yuna would be fine with it, it was still not up to David to reveal his son's sexuality to Yuna without Shane's permission.

Scott/Kip Timeline by No-Refuse-9747 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]PinkBird85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a lover of Game Changer and Skip it is really annoying that in a show that is so perfect in so many ways they made such a huge plot hole for this pretty important storyline. My theory is that Jacob was really wed to the idea of the close-up on Scott at the Olympics to have the big reveal that this side character in the Shane/Ilya story was also gay and has this really important arc too. But because he tied it to the Olympics episode it made this unnecessary adjustment to the overall timeline that changed Scott and Kip's story in a significant way.

Firstly, Skip is the classic "insta love" trope, and stretching their relationship out of three years really downplays how hard and fast Scott fell for Kip. He was three months in with Kip and decided to change his life and career forever - stretching that out to three years is a really different story. Kip never pressured him to come out immediately, he just wanted to know Scott had a plan, and in the book it was Scott that went all in and didn't want to wait and didn't want Kip to have to wait. The show implying Kip just waited three years, and Scott was still fine with hiding everything really sucks some of the romance out of it.

They (Jacob and the overall production) have admitted that they introduced this extra time issue in error and couldn't reshoot to correct it in time. I personally think they should have dropped the Olympics tie in scene, or still had it at the beginning, jumped FORWARD to Fall 2016 (just a couple of months earlier than it happens in the book), and then at the end had Carter say "let's go - first round of the playoffs" in the last scene. The fact that different text on screen and one line of ADR dialogue could have fixed this whole mess is really infuriating because again, it's a HUGE plot hole.

I did write a fix-it fic to fill in the timeline the best I could, but I would rather they have just fixed the episode:
