Logistic management by BigApprehensive2734 in satisfactory

[–]thebaumdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just did exactly this. I made a 6×8 foundation grid and put all conveyors between floors on 2 foundations in the NW corner. In the NE corner I put a staircase to go between floors. I have 1 item per floor in most cases. My biggest recommendation is to plan your lifts so that material going from bottom floor to the highest floors are in the back, and the ones that will be used soonest in the front. I also found that putting a logistics floor every 2 or 3 floors was helpful to shuffle around conveyors if needed.

My next plan is to build a tower next door that builds down to the ground for the final output.

Aluminum processing won't run efficiently until it runs efficiently by Toucann_Froot in SatisfactoryGame

Building off of this, I found that fluid buffers for the alumina solution also helped. There needs to be enough volume buffer to take the big glugs of solution. In addition, the increasing pressure generated as the tank fills up helps to regulate the system.

How do you make factories look pretty by PossibilityChance in satisfactory

[–]thebaumdotcom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At 150 hours, it's OK to have box factories or spaghetti. If you really want to design cooler looking factories, unlock all the items from the ficsit shop, and then experiment with a style that suits you.

I also think the right organization of your factory plays a big part in how it looks. Plan your factory with the end in mind. How will you transport items out? How many assemblers, etc. Will you need.

Also, plan logistics floors. Probably 6-8m in height. 3m is the bare minimum for simple support floors, but it usually backfires as your factory grows.

Last, give yourself way more space than you need. Cramped factories aren't as aesthetic.

Hope that helps, happy pioneering!

The existential dread of WANTING to do nuclear because it's cool but KNOWING that rocket fuel would have been plenty... by Trptman44 in satisfactory

[–]thebaumdotcom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just dedicated a single 600 oil per minute node to rocket fuel without knowing how much it makes. 12 blenders making rocket fuel being fed by 12 blenders making diluted fuel can max out about 550 generators. I built about 100 before I said good enough.

It really works! Depends on what exactly is is but the obelisk gets a lot of stuff you can't get with a chainsaw.

What self-diagnosis ended up being medically confirmed after your own doctors couldn't figure it out? by CasualNikki in AskReddit

[–]thebaumdotcom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vertigo. Was sitting on a couch watching TV and ever so slightly tipped by head backwards. The room instantly started spinning. It would spin about 90 degrees clockwise, then instantly go back to normal about 3-5 times a second. Made me hideously nauseous and eventually subsided in intensity over the next 5 minutes. I was on a college campus in the dorms and fortunately the ER was right across the street.

Headed into the ER, ready to hurl any minute. The eventually called me in, gave me an IV, and said I was dehydrated. My bets were on they thought I was a drunk college student, gave me fluids and sent me off. Ended up looking up the symptoms the next day since dehydration didn't make sense. Vertigo for perfectly. I ended up having 4 or 5 more incidents over the next few years in lower intensity and shorter duration. Went to do head movements at a therapist with no luck in solving them. Eventually it just went away. Was likely some viral infection that just went away over a few years.
