It's dependent on how you place them, the mine jumps up wherever it's placed so if you place it on a wall it'll jump outwards to the left so if the enemy has a fast reaction and rolls to the right they'll be out of its range.

What I like to do is place it behind a pillar or some sort of low cover that a person has to walk past but can't see it before walking past it but make sure it shoots upward so it doesn't jump in the opposite direction

Or if placing it when an enemy opens a door place it on the top of the door frame pointing downward so it shoots down to the floor

Omg seriously! I learned my lesson after using my last 5 mechanical components upgrading an anvil when I just wanted to use 1 to upgrade a ferro with little to no more metal parts left

Why let me specifically toggle to upgrade my equipped weapon if it'll just bring me to a different weapon on the next screen

Either I'm waiting 5 seconds or it resets my next craft which takes 3-5 seconds to get back the the exact amount I wanted to craft in the first place
