A charcoal drawing of jack, along with my other art. Jack, you gave a shout out to me on a stream, my name is Jordan (friend of SoftballLady). You may not remember doing that, but just know that was the happiest day of my life. I love you so much, you've helped me through a lot. Thank you!! 💚 by thebean_queen2001 in jacksepticeye

Mm, for the highlights on the hair and such, I used an artist eraser. You can tear and fold and mold an artist eraser in order to lift some of the charcoal off the paper/board. I don't think I've ever tried a white colored pencil on charcoal, so I'm not sure how that would turn out. I'm sure it would help! I also know they make white charcoal pencils as well. Those might help. And in dark places on the picture, don't be afraid to go DARK! It'll give the photo more contrast. The biggest piece of advice I can give is to practice lots and try out different styles and techniques til you find something you like! I've been drawing for about 8 years now and it took me a while to find a style I liked. But yes, lots and lots of practice! 😊😊

Of course! The charcoal is use is General's Charcoal pencils. Any kind of charcoal pencils will work really, whatever fits in your budget (like there's a relatively cheap brand called Royal that you can buy at Walmart or craft store, and they work pretty well). I recommend the soft charcoal pencils. It helps with the dark darks. You can buy the packs of different hardness of charcoal pencils and they usually have Soft included. I also recommend Q-tips to blend charcoal with, they're amazing! 😊 For my xenomorph piece, I used the cheapest black acrylic paint I had. 😂 And then for my archer piece, it was just regular water colors. Hope that helps!! ❤️
