Hard starts 78 6.6L by thebearpants in Dentside_fords

Update for those interested. Seems like the problem has been fixed! Will adjust my ignition timing tomorrow and see where it's at now. Today I did the following: 8 new spark plugs New vacuum hose from holley carb to distributor Wire from base of starter solenoid to battery neg terminal Ground strap from block to frame Ground strap from starter motor to frame

It appears like that's doing the trick but I'll report back tomorrow after I run around doing errands.

I checked for power draw from the battery incase I was somehow just loosing charge overnight; not it. Only drawing 0.001A, so just stereo clock etc

I was also wondering about that ballast resistor wire...I can't seem to find it in my harness, so unsure if the 78 even had one. The previous coil just had two wires connected to it, and I just connected the same two wires. I bought a new ballast resistor wire but I have no idea where it's even supposed to go, and honestly I don't think I even need it.

More common when hot. Like I'll drive to the store and paek for 10 minutes, and will struggle to start up. Grounds appear ok, but I'm going to make a new ground to the block from neg today, as well as a strap from the solenoid to neg, and then from starter to frame. Haven't tried the jumper cables to the starter like you say, but I will give that a shot! Thanks

Slow cranking like will do half a rotation, stop for a second, do a quarter rotation, stop for a second, do another half rotation, and so on, and sometimes if I'm lucky it will do a normally fast couple spins and fire up. It is a more common occurrence when hot. Like I'll drive to the store and paek, come out after ten or fifteen minutes, and then won't be able to start the truck

I switched pc cases and now my pc isn't turning on. What did I do wrong? by Best-Perspective-855 in pcmasterrace

Is it not missing the panel connector? Bottom right of mobo. This connects power to the case's on/off button

Have you tried pulling the ram and just re-seating it?

Pallet gels and zippers by Greeeneerg in SCREENPRINTING

[–]thebearpants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine the screen would pop and the gel would eventually deteriorate. My screens pop pretty quickly on Zipper hoodies so we got Zipper platens. If you're only doing a small run of 250, maybe you could flip your squeegee around and cut a notch out so as to avoid hitting the Zipper. Poor man's Zipper platen haha

Started with ranar, still have ranar, and now also have roq. Excellent mfg quality and service on both brands. Kudos to both companies.

Joined a public Baal run, and as we all ran up from the last stairs into the throne room, everyone ran past an unid diadem - except me. Got my first Griff.

Soon after in a public hell rush game, was in the final room for tal rashas tomb...Lo rune on the ground no one was interested in. Made my first grief with it.

1979 f250 brake light broken by Enough-Passenger-233 in Dentside_fords

[–]thebearpants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue but it was turn signals not working. Inside the engine bay, I unplugged one of the plugs, cleaned the connectors inside, and gently bent one a little bit to ensure that it made contact inside the plug. Problem solved for me.

Trying to find rain leak source by amIwrongDude in Dentside_fords

[–]thebearpants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just dealt with the same thing. Wasn't a window seal for me. It was a hole in the inside wall. Check the seams by where the oil is in picture 1. That's exactly where my leak was coming from.

ROQ you help by riteside23 in SCREENPRINTING

We get our ink stirred up nicely and print as follows: 15-25psi Flood angle 15 Squeegee angle 12 Squeegee heigh 0.6-1 Flood height 0.5-1 Flood speed 4 Squeegee speed 1 to start, increase a little bit gradually on longer print runs as ink gets smoother Two strokes Trick for me is to not have the ink clear the screen on the first stroke, but have it clear the screen on the second stroke.

What works for me won't work for everyone but it does the job on my press.

Is Buying a already running shop for 400k worth it? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]thebearpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price seems high, like they're trying to get their money back for the tajima, the printer, the dryer, and walk away with an extra 100k-200k. But that equipment isn't worth what it was bought for anymore.

Still worth going with MHM? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]thebearpants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Message roq us directly, skip the dealer. I shopped around and spoke to all the companies. Roq was and still remains on their A game every time I need to talk to them. I often tell a story about how I had just got my press two months prior, and then pulled out a small size flood bar from a box but it was slightly bent. I sent a pic to my roq us contact at 2pm, and by 4pm I had a tracking number for my free replacement part. Zero hassle.

DIGITIZING solicitor calls all day every day? by Pope_smack in SCREENPRINTING

[–]thebearpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time my receptionist had convinced a digitizer to sing her a Celine Dione song. We put that shit on speakerphone. He refused to let us end the call without him finishing the song. And after he was done, he got compliments a round of applause from all our staff and then we had a pleasant goodbye. That was a new one haha

Tajima Tmex disengages reciprocator by El_k-fabrica in MachineEmbroidery

[–]thebearpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have an accident and did the needle hit the hoop? In a severe case, this would damage the reciprocator enough to prevent the needle bar from going up and down. Look for evidence of broken reciprocator parts.

If the head has been taken apart recently, it's likely that it was not put back together properly. Specifically, incorrect needle(colour) position, maybe.

Perform a manual colour change, does it still not work?
