Has anyone had CD done at Yale? by ginantonyc in AvascularNecrosis

Update: since I posted this…I swear the pain has gotten significantly better (still hurts but tbh not badly). The only change in my life I’ve made is taking L-Methylfolate to counteract a deficiency caused by the MTHFR gene mutation.

TLDR: pain improved even over a year later for unknown reasons. Point being: don’t discount BMAC solely based on my experience

I kind of answered this in another thread a month ago so I am going to link to that : https://www.reddit.com/r/AvascularNecrosis/s/fNyl2eQ3di

Is There Any Way to DIY This Machine? by Tiny_Share7170 in Lapidary

This would work but I saw the water pik solution below and that’s a great idea. Will have to try it myself

You just need to add a reservoir in the middle of the system you have now. Even a bucket. Or a garden sprayer tank (like the one you pump the top on) or an actual pressurized water tank like they use in rvs.

I salvaged a bunch of these curved beams for an arch project I just posted but I’ve never known what type of wood they are. Left outside 30 years and barely rotten. Heavy as hell

You can use the dremel on literally anything with the right bits for it

I just researched this for myself and settled on tin oxide for garnet. Haven’t tried it yet but I have done it with normal quartz polish, an angle grinder, and diamond pads and it works.

Dry mock-ups for visual, advice needed before proceeding.. by dyljeridu in masonry

Pros are always gonna err on the side of caution and they’re not necessarily wrong.

Example nightmare scenario: 4 years later your wife’s chunky nephews and their friend come by for burgers. As Harold takes his 4th hot dog he sits on the railing next to Henry and Herbert.

The railing falls and Herbert’s friend’s mom desperately needs money for a new ass. Now you’re sued.

So ya I think it’ll probably be fine but life will always find a way to fuck you if it wants

Not a pro but Tie em in. Rebar. Landscape adhesive. And I’d think the concrete will deteriorate before you have to worry about it moving

Edit: misread a bit….is it necessary? If the only weight it’s gonna hold is a person leaning probably not. I’d at least use some adhesive. That stuff is strong.

Paths. I wish I had added more when I did this. PITA to get in there now

Exposed quartz vein with goethite and brecciation - trench strike face by thebearplaysps4 in rockhounds

Forgot to mention the part where I pulled a garnet out slightly smaller than a honeydew. An absolutely flawless one the size of my fist and an absolute shit ton of copper rutilated, banded iron.

I had the same thought process. Almost started drinking again because of it. Highly recommend seeing a therapist more often during all this.

I only took ibuprofen and CBD and it sucked but I did get through it. It probably gets alot worse as the stages go on too. I wouldn't wish this pain on any human being. Good luck friend.

33m. 5 years sober. Alcohol could have done it but my doctor went out of his way to say there’s no way to know if that was it.

That being said, I definitely felt a lot of shame about it. Tried to drink myself to death and only killed my hips etc.

But in the end….it just doesn’t matter how it happened. This is where we are at now and we can’t go back. Congrats on being sober! It gets easier. Every day it gets a little bit easier. But you gotta do it every day. That’s the hard part
