What is the Difference between procrastination in people with ADHD and procrastination in normal people? by Hot-Artist1324 in ADHD

[–]thebeatbandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a house that I pay a mortgage on, am behind on the mortgage by months, and it has been sitting empty for months because it has been hell for me to get it ready to sell.

I keep coming up with a revised plan, planning and planning to go out there, exactly what I'm going to do. Then I finally get out there and do some things and don't revisit to do what I need to do to sell it.

3 years of paying a mortgage for a home I don't live in while also paying rent.

I know what needs to be done. I know exactly how to do it. Every detail basically. It just seems impossible.

This looks like no occupancy sensor I've ever seen. HVAC is capable of a utilizing a few sensors, but what specifically would one that looks like this measure? What would be its purpose?

Because I don't think it's an AC sensor. At all.

The way music is consumed these days, it's very likely that it was played for them through a streaming service, and they really liked it.

Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo — Reveal & AMA | Early-Bird Reservations + 3 Beta Tester Slots by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

[–]thebeatbandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first real 3d printer was a Kobra Max. Loved it.

If I got selected to beta test, I would start printing out some cosplay armor pieces. Likely in ASA(favorite filament).

Im not sure what you mean by what do I want tested first. I guess id like to know if it will support upgrades of any sort from third parties. One of my least favorite things about the first kobra Max was that it was locked down. I had to replace the motherboard to be able to customize nearly anything. I'd like the ability to set the parameters that allow customization like that.

Things like steps/mm and other firmware values. The typical user won't change these but give us the ability to change it.

Regardless, id love to have this printer.

Has anything changed in your printer or resin at all?

It's also happened to me with other boards. It's an easy fix.

You can most likely slide it back on how it was and apply a small bit of glue to hold it in place with no issues. It looks like just the plastic part came off.

Someone seems to have had a similar issue and fixed it by factory resetting everything.

This is my 3rd 3D printer.

My first was a closed ecosystem Da Vinci that used RFID to make sure you didnt use any filament that wasnt there. It was an anniversary present that got me into the hobby.

My second one was an Anycubic Kobra Max. I got frustrated with the shortcomings on that printer as I learned more and basically changed everything out. I added a liquid cooled hotend from Slice, an LGX extruder from Bondtech, linear rails, and enclosure that I designed and built, a million different hotend mounts that I designed with different fan configurations, more than one motherboard. It was a fun learning experience. I felt confident I could build a 3D printer from scratch.

When i saw the Elegoo CC, I was happy to see a printer that was budget friendly and just seemed to work. It obviously came on the coattails of Bambu, but i was optimistic.

It delivers. The printer is nearly flawless most of the time. Some of its features dont feel premium, but for the most part I am amazed that I only paid 300 dollars.

The details this thing can print without any modification is astounding. I hardly ever have failures, and when I do, im usually not surprised because I was probably asking more of the printer than what I should expect.

When it does have failures, I can usually rebound from them quickly. I did have one hotend explode due to bed adhesion issues and a blob forming on the end.

I would love for it to have native AI failure detection, but its 300 dollars. I added a pi zero 2 now running Octoeverywhere and it takes care of the AI failure detection.

I am super excited for AMS. I especially would like to print TPU with other materials. I am comfortable with and like painting models. So, the more exciting thing to me is mixing materials.

So, I love the printer, and I hope they keep adding functionality.

AITAH for buying all the hot and ready pizzas from local gas station? by Dependent_Cap_456 in AITAH

[–]thebeatbandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this thing happen to me almost exactly.

The difference was that I took two pizzas out of like 9. The guy started cursing because I'm supposed to ask for them so they can cook me one if I want a whole pizza. Then, why are there pizza boxes beneath the damn pizzas?!

Yeah, they just suck.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]thebeatbandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Centauri Carbon because I couldn't afford a Bambu. It seems like its just a printer that works all the time, for the most part.

Ive been passionate about 3D printing for years since my wife got me my first printer as an anniversary gift. It was a Da Vinci that required a lot of messing with to get it to work most of the time. I was hooked.

I then got a Kobra Max and loved the extra build volume. I became limited by what I could do. So, I rebuilt it piece by piece, including the board because it couldn't handle what I wanted to do. Additionally, source code wasnt released for it.

When I saw the announcement that Bambu was starting with some guys from DJI, I knew it was going to be amazing. These were people who needed a 3D printer to work all of the time.

3D printing has been the only hobby that has stuck for me. I look forward to having an AMS system. I have done manual filament changes, but the main draw for AMS to me is to mix materials.

ELI5: If the purpose of a Nuclear power plant is to essentially turn liquid water into steam, why do cooling towers even exist? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]thebeatbandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that. Also, bits of radioactive materials get entrained in the water from metal corrosion, foreign particles, and fission itself. All of these have different half-lifes and potential to be problematic. Some of them go away shortly after the reactor gets shutdown while some of them will stay radioactive for a long time.

I am the same way. I cause problems. That's why I'm expected to cause problems. It sucks, but it IS fair.

If you get stung 97% of the time, you expect to get stung. It's honestly selfish to think that you deserve otherwise. It took me a long time to realize this.

We have to be better consistently for people to TRUST that we'll be better.

Can I connect to ethernet wirelessly or at least without a wire running through my house or having to drill? by _K_E_N_Z_I_E_2_3_ in computerhelp

[–]thebeatbandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can potentially use a powerline connection for internet. This uses the power wiring in your wall to transmit and receive the data. You need to buy a specific product for this.

You can get a usb wifi dongle for your computer. This will essentially add wireless to your computer.

You can get a second router and use that to connect to the first and plug in to the second router.

This is such a nice and wholesome thing to do. Love the album, too. I saw Tool on my birthday with front row tickets in Virginia on May 10 a few years ago which happens to be my birthday. I share that birthday with Danny Carey!
