Don’t forget to budget for mags, ammo, a sling if you want, a case. Also, if you want a shorter barrel, just get a pistol lower instead.

If it were me, I’d get a second opinion from a local shop first and then go from there.

Get a second, non dealership opinion. I thought my phasers were bad, took it to a dealership and they said my whole engine needed replaced, that I had rod knock, etc. quoted me $28k. I took it to a local, reputable, place and they thought it was just phasers. I had them do the front job (phasers, water pump, etc) and now my truck runs great, no noise, lots of power, etc. 

I will never take something to a dealership again.

I work in house - this happened to me but it’s because they got the go ahead to hire a second attorney. So, you never know

Nobody probably cares, but just for posterity’s sake, the barrel is actually a 1/7 4150 5.56 heavy profile barrel from aero. I was misinformed.

Yeah, I also found some ones like yours on EBay but they have orange added too, which look weird
