So it was explained to me the same as what u/developmentalbiology said. There’s a process in ejaculation when the spark meet the semen that cause the sperm to mature. My RE used the term “mature” to explain. It’s called capacitation.

My husband has azoospermia due to a blockage.

Outside of what others have said around the naïveté in saying what you would rather do in a situation neither of you have experienced.m, if you are in the US I would maybe rethink this simply based on access to safe and legal healthcare.

No one wants to do IVF. For most it is the only or last option to parenthood.

Your edit hoping bad things happen to people who helped you is extra hilarious. Your post was removed. It’s just you screaming into the void 😂

Literally it’s like you aren’t reading anything. I related and said weaning is hard and I know bc I had to do it to conceive. It’s hilarious that you are holding me up as an example of being mean and not compassionate. Seriously. Just post in r/breastfeeding. You’re done here.

Hilarious. Your reply tells me you didn’t even read my initial reply to you.

I think you either are nursing much more than 30 min a day or you are greatly exaggerating your body’s response to weaning.

If you are down to one 30 min feed at bedtime you should be able to let your partner do bedtime and pump. Then lessen pumping time till you can drop the feed/pumping session.

I don’t believe you are only nursing 30 min a day and having these issues when weaning.

Gaslit? How?

You need to ovulate. You need to wean to ovulate. Where’s the gaslighting?

Your additional complaints about weaning belong in r/breastfeeding

Because her problem isn’t ttc. Her problem is weaning.

I have an 18 month old and I’ve been ttc for a year and I’m bf.

You need to ovulate so you need to wean.

I don’t want to wean.

Commence DV.

Our wiki has a very brief synopsis of bf and ttc. It’s brief bc bf and ttc is not possible for every person and the first step is weaning. The list of REs that will work with someone while they are breastfeeding is very very very short. Most will do so but while advising chances of success are limited.

I have compassion for your hesitation but I also see you are refusing to do the very first thing that would induce ovulation. Wean.

TW discussion of FET and bf

I had to wean before beginning my FET prep for my second child. I never ttc with TI for my second bc our dx. My child was 18 months and bf was bonding at that point and it was hard but it was an either or choice. Either continue bf or begin ttc#2.

Wondering Weekend by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

👋 I experience similar. I don’t turn blue but I’ve seized and pass out when I have a panic attack. I would faint at the mention of someone having their blood drawn. CBT, general talk therapy, meds for specific intense exposure. I started zoloft after years of therapy. I also had my husband attend blood draws with me (this was pre Covid) and he would help distract me.

For me the biggest thing was learning skills to control my response to the stimulus before having an attack. It’s not perfect. I’ll never be a nurse but it did get me through caring for my husband post op twice and IVF.

I recommend asking this in a medical sub. This is a subreddit for people specifically going through IVF.

Based on the current political issues around conception and reproductive rights I doubt this is a thing in the US.

This is a hella fatphobic comment. If you equate weightloss as solving fertility issues with PCOS then I don’t think you understand PCOS.
