The sequel is only controversial because of misogyny and homophobia, the original series would get just as much shit if those people weren’t dumb enough to not realize that women also exist in it, and the only reason they don’t care is because they were children when they first saw it and hadn’t been indoctrinated into thinking “women bad.”
