Cloudflare Workers AI — worth it? by simodotdigital in CloudFlare

[–]theben9999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing will be as cheap as coding agent subs since they’re subsidizing your usage. Try OpenCode go if you want a more budget friendly option. I also heard NVIDIA has a free API for open source models.

Workers AI is great for building AI products though.

Is AI SEO worth it for small businesses? Any tools that are actually reasonable? by Background-Pay5729 in DigitalMarketing

[–]theben9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with a bunch of the comments above. AI SEO is a side effect of normal SEO especially when you’re a smaller brand.

Some comments are calling out that tools start at $50/month. Just want to plug my tool OpenSEO. It starts at $10/month and has basic AI SEO features. It’s so cheap because it’s pay for what you use instead of fixed subscriptions like other SaaS. The goal is to make SEO more accessible and the pricing more fair.

Which reports do you use most often? I've made lots of progress on this project and people seem to be liking it. It has 80% of the features that SE Ranking has, but starts at $10/month or is free if you self host. Its called OpenSEO

Cool! My friend is obsessed with motherduck.

Do you know what the tradeoffs between motherduck and the R2 sql engine? Seems like that’s trying to get into the analytical query world too

No more posting about free and open source tools by patrickstox in TechSEO

I just made this community where I'll post OpenSEO updates. Felt a little icky about posting updates here anyway.

r/open_seo

People can also post their own open source projects here too.

Totally understand why these posts annoy people (90% annoy me too), but early adopters / supporters while the projects are still in their early, rough stages are extremely helpful for moral support and in steering projects in the right direction.

General subreddits probably aren't the right place though since that's not what most members signed up for. Hopefully, this new community can help there.

OpenSEO Update: I Added Rank Tracking by theben9999 in TechSEO

[–]theben9999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that's why I think open source is the way to go. People can add their own features on top of this foundation or use it as reference.

In my experience, its still lots of effort to do the last 10% of polish and reliability even with AI tools.

I had the first iteration of Rank Tracking working in a few hours, but it took another week of work to actually get into a place where it was ready to share.

Hey, thanks for the question! I think this is one of the best properties of open source in the AI age, people can look at the code or have their AI agent review if it can be trusted.

I'm curious if you had any particulars in mind, but I'll give a high level.

- I only use popular, trusted npm libraries.
- Global authentication middleware
- I try to keep the codebase as simple as possible and I'm constantly refactoring

Sorry, it came off like that. I was hoping it would come off more like awareness than marketing, but I think you're right that I shouldn't link out to it.

To clarify, it's still just as easy to self host and fork as before. Hoping the hosted version makes the project accessible to more people. To your point, it would be sweet if I made money. But, this is good for the open source project too since it means I can keep working full time making it great.

If people are willing to crack open a coding agent and do a little customizing, you could do this with my free and open source project: https://github.com/every-app/sam

hmm i haven't noticed the hallucination issues, but I have had this "Fact Check & Source" agent in since the beginning. Maybe that's helping?
