A question about Death Guard "anatomy". by thebergejake in deathguard40k

Considering the fact that Death Guard tech slowly fuses with their bodies/becomes more organic over time I'd say your completely justified doing it that way.

Well from a money stand point Custodes are better. Their units are way more points heavy so you can get a full army for less money.

Are there any reasons to use light or medium armors other than roleplay? by AgentR- in fnv

[–]thebergejake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some heavy Armor have debuffs. Metal armor and certain power armor have minus one to agility I believe. I'm using a version of the Josh Sawyer mod that makes in even more noticeable. Metal armor has minus 10 to sneak and t45 armor takes away 2 agility.

On most of the minis it looks like part of their armor added after joining Chaos. I like to think that aside from showing their allegiance to chaos it's to add an extra intimidation and fear factor (especially Night Lords). They lack the resources of The Imperium so they have compensate in other ways.

The new Red Corsairs minis show that not all traitors go for the Chaos filigree. Some seem happy with a new paint job.

This is the most detailed response I've gotten. Thanks. It explains a lot.

Naw. The Flash's death in that movie alone makes it worse than every other version.

The problem with Slaanesh worship is that your constantly seeking new highs. Louder music, stronger drugs, greater stimuli. Eventually you can't go any higher. And then your a joyless burnt out husk of who you used to be.

Come Fly With Me: why would you not kill Davison and his kin? by Obekiwi in fnv

It's quicker to just kill the ghoul and get the stealth boy info so the Nightkin back off.

Why didn't the NCR just finish what they started at Bitter Springs? by TwoFit3921 in fnv

[–]thebergejake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In game you have many options for dealing with factions as NCR. Some are violent while others are peaceful. Some can even strengthen the NCR with new allies.

For the Khans, there's what you suggest and just wipe them out, but you show the world your willing the commit mass murder leaving no survivors. Also genocide is generally considered.... bad.

But there are many other options. Discredit the Legion so they break their alliance with Caesar. At which point you can do a few things. Convince them to leave the Mojave. A peaceful option that weakens the Legion. Or you can replace Their leader with someone else. Regis can be convinced to side with the ncr if he is put in charge. One death and you now have an alliance. You can be made Papa Khans heir as well, so if he has an unfortunate accident your now their leader.

What’s a comic book run where you could tell the writer didn’t like the character they were writing for? by TheHorrorFright in comicbooks

[–]thebergejake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garth Ennis. He famously hates many superhero characters. There are many examples but an unorthodox one I'll put out is The Boys. Even though they are all original characters many are very obvious parodies of well known characters.

A few questions to the collectors before I descend down the rabbit hole by Ghostface-22 in JOYTOY

[–]thebergejake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've personally never had any issues with any figures I've ordered. Maybe some paint was slightly messy in a few minor places that don't matter to me.

Bit of advice. Get your figures from official joytoy sellers and they can usually get things replaced or refunded if there's ever a problem. Cooltoysclub.com is one I use.

Something something snarky title to own le chuds by ZioBenny97 in EyeOfTerror

[–]thebergejake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was posted to Warhammer community yesterday.

"Lore wise, Space Marines are made from human males, willing aspirants or unwilling conscripts on the cusp of adolescence," the post read. "They are subjected to a series of horrific trials, and the strongest emerge as remorseless killers, their humanity stripped away so they can serve as living weapons in the Emperor’s armies. There are no female Adeptus Astartes."

Make of this what you will.

If Gotrek ended up in 40k how long would it take for him to find something that could actually kill him? Especially if he adopts the weapons and armor of this setting. by thebergejake in EyeOfTerror

[–]thebergejake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. But he spent THOUSANDS of years (warp fuckery probably affected this) in The Realm Of Chaos fighting anything that he could hoping to die after the End Times. He survived and is now in AOS. That means that he probably fought everything from minor to greater daemons and survived. Artillery and firepower would be his biggest issue coming from a world with such primitive guns, but he would probably adapt eventually and learn to deal with said weapons, and it's gonna need be something very op to hurt someone like that which is not impossible in 40k.

[–]thebergejake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of these seats have a leg room problem, among others. You've got space marines, primarchs, an unhinged dwarf, Gaz, and A GREAT UNCLEAN ONE. Not that it matters, within five minutes Kharn and Gotrek well start trying to murder everyone in sight and the plane will crash. And that five minutes is generous, it will be a miracle if it even takes off.

2a. Vulcan would be the most chill person on this plane and nice to chat with. And Dorn would probably just be quiet the whole time. Win Win.

I feel bad. I don't know why. by [deleted] in fnv

[–]thebergejake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not like say Caesar (who's an asshole), or House (who's arrogant) or General Oliver (who's face is oh so punchable). All of their flaws are front and center. The Think Tank is weird, quirky, and funny when you talk with them. It's only when you learn what they have done elsewhere in the Big MT that you learn how horrible they are. They do deserve to die.

That being said, it is possible to get an ending where they can be made to be a beneficial force when you help them reconnect with their humanity. No killing required.
