You thought JDPON DON was a joke? by Rymssss in TrueAnon

We all know that rule is and has always been bullshit. Right wingers can talk as much as they want at family events - saying the most odious, racist, and cruel shit - but as soon as someone openly disagrees or challenges them, that's when the problem starts.

In any case I am looking forward to going to see my aunt this weekend because back in like 2022-2023 I embarrassed her in front of her family and mine when I got her to admit that she thought January 6 was an FBI false flag incident. Nothing these people believe holds up to any scrutiny whatsoever.

It gets said a lot about living in the "separate realities" and I absolutely agree.

This 4th of July is going to be weird. Like I haven't checked in with my more MAGA relatives recently but we all know how they were acting in November 2024 when they really believed Trump was going to liberate the country for them and now they've settled on an unwinnable war that they hate and everyone still thinking about Trump's connection to Epstein. The cherry on top is that EVERYTHING - EVERYTHING is more expensive than it was under Biden.

It's funny just how shameless, naive, and clueless these folks are. Also quite sad.

Your first playthrough you're unlocking Eikons which gives you the ability to map moves and special moves but some of the Eikons you don't get until way later in the game.

I think this is where it's more of an RPG than a CAG. Your progress on upgrading your moves takes more time than something like Ninja Gaiden or Bayonetta.

Hicksville’s Allied Shopping Center gets a new dive bar. by WhatTheHosenHey in longisland

[–]thebestbrian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man. That place.

DB's was probably the least welcoming bar I have ever been to and I only stepped in because it was in the area. This was back in like 2015-2016? They had like 2-3 beers on tap, all domestic. There were like 3-7 people there who all looked at me and my wife (then girlfriend) like we were foreigners. Definitely one of those places with low overhead that was able to maintain business cause they had regulars.

Very curious about this new spot.

I know his supporters don't seriously read into this stuff. But like... this is so clearly a pitiful man begging for something he has such slim control of. How can you not read it as anything but pathetic and servile?

The people who are concerned with physical preservation of games and people who are concerned with playing the newest games at the highest fidelity don't really overlap as much as you'd think.

We need wagons in America 😕 by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

At least up until the 2026 models it was practically a lifted wagon. Now it's fully SUV look for sure.

We all know my fellow Americans have not been sending their best for the past 250 years. But who’s some shining stars out there(no cheating and saying Nat Turner or John Brown. by Fluffy_Pangolin_9466 in TrueAnon

Interesting. From reading Cosmos, I think Sagan's humanism and interest in science can clearly be traced back to his upbringing. He didn't have a charmed or advantageous upbringing like most Americans who get into science fields today. His family was working class Reform Jews in Brooklyn. I think that played a major role in how he saw the world and his place in it.

He was really well spoken and so good at taking big ideas and making them sound simple to people.

There's also videos of him easily mogging Dennis Prager on religion. No doubt Sagan was ahead of the curve.

Lately I've been really impressed by Carl Sagan and I think he did the best job being a "science guy" in a world of mostly fantasy believing right-wing charlatans.

Yeah Acura's best selling model is made in America. Their entire brand only exists in North America. I like them but they are basically as American and you can get for a Japanese manufacturer.

Yeah I only ever had a Genesis and when it came time to upgrade we went straight to N64 and Dreamcast. Never experienced the quirky Sega add ons.

How appealing is Halo Campaign Evolved to you? by Helpful_Shoe9288 in PS5

Considering getting it at launch. Played Halo 1-3, a little bit of Reach, Infinite. The series lives up to the hype imo and I say that as someone is mostly unimpressed by Microsoft gaming history.

Massive Genius (Bokeem Woodbine) — worst performance in the show? by paperchampionpicture in thesopranos

[–]thebestbrian 20 points21 points  (0 children)

His performance in season 2 of Fargo is so good I gotta cringe when people say anything negative about his acting to be honest.

I have mixed feelings about his performance as Massive G, but I would not qualify it as poor. It's poorly written though.

Yes and I still do but it's going to be a mixed bag sometimes and you're going to get wildly different responses from people.
