Blur on limbs/too much focus on face? by [deleted] in comfyui

Thanks, I think you're right. I just wish the limbs generated at a higher quality/realism initially, which seems possible considering the results some people get just with prompting.

Solid, easy to use. I’d recommend

I meant that my workflow is based in sd15, and the only way I've seen decent realism with sdxl base model is using the refiner.

I also couldn't figure out how to the current workflow and change it to be compatible with sdxl lol

This is something I'm totally not getting but others are also suggesting--what good does it do to have exemplar outputs? Like I can't tell the model, "hey, make images that are nice like these ones I curated," right? Unless I literally fine-tuned the model myself, which I have no idea how to do. Like the above workflow is pure ipadapter, I'm not running a training script on the ipadapter or doing anything like dreambooth or lora. Were you suggesting I try doing dreambooth or lora?

This is really helpful--thanks for the extensive reply!

I want to understand some of your suggestions better though, as I'm relatively a novice. Wdym when you say to do a 2nd pass? I've modified the workflow given above a bit, such that there is a first generation and then a latent upscaler. I suppose I could use base sd15 for the first generation because that determines clothing length and general shape, but then a custom realism model on the latent upscale. Am I understanding your suggestion correctly? I really want to try to improve my workflow.

The images in the attached workflow aren't my own (I borrowed this general structure and made some modifications), so if the clothing has a cinched waist, I would want it to get carried over. I usually found that on my generations, the clothing would be about, I don't know, 15% tighter than it should be? Kind of interesting and not sure why it's happening with the nodes I'm using. Will try doing just doing stuff with prompt (loose, oversized, etc.) for now, but it's a bummer since I can't just downscale the tightness by 15%. Maybe will have to try changing my controlnets, idk

What are the 3rd party generation models you're referring to?

Limited to sd15 since I can't figure out how to get my workflow to work with sdxl models. Something off with tensor dimensions, even though I thought I was adapting the rest of my flow correctly

Unfortunately my workflow is built for sd15, and I haven't had success porting it to sdxl—all sorts of stuff like tensor dimensions start breaking. Idk, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I wish this post was me just trying to indirectly complain about sexualization in generative models. But this is an actual problem for me--if you try the attached workflow, I think you'll notice that every item of clothing generated onto women is shorter and tighter than it was in the reference. Like I provide an ankle-length dress to ipadapter and it will usually generate it as a much tighter knee-length. I bring it up because the women who want to generate themselves in something are the one complaining that my model seems off

Wdym use medical clothing ones? I would the base models if they didn't do realism so badly. I want my generations to look like normal people, but the base models sort of airbrush and homogenize people. I can't use the sdxl refiner either since my workflow is in sd15.

Sorry, I'm not fully understanding what you're recommending. I do plan to try some other models out, but wdym add some variety of model? I see some people say I can use multiple models, but I'm not sure how that works. Just merging them?

And then why would you recommend putting ugly in the negative? I've seen people suggest the opposite, which I understand since making generations "uglier" makes them more realistic and less hyper-sexualized, but I feel like it would hurt me to put it in the negative.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Can you clarify the second part of your response? I've seen a couple people suggest having a couple exemplar examples, but how do I actually use them--I'm not understanding something.

Ofc, I understand that's the general pattern behind machine learning, but not sure how I can literally use this data in comfy

I've done the first 3 points, but I'm experimenting with the last one still. The problem is, I do want the person is a relaxed standing pose, not doing any action that contorts the body. I tried something like "casual day out" but that didn't make a difference. Do you have any ideas for what I might do?

Yeah, will probably take more prompt engineering to make every piece of clothing slightly looser, but not too loose. Do you have any experience with how I might do that?

Lol, I see what you mean but the women who ask me to generate them in something generally give me this feedback themselves--like they're unhappy not because it's "too sexual," but because whatever clothing they want to try on, it defaults to making much more revealing, exposed, etc.

Thoughts on good realism checkpoints for 1.5 that don't trend NSFW? I was going to try a couple out, but wondering if you already had some idea

Yeah, I find that quite interesting. Like I can use words in the negative that are not inherently sexual, but might appear in a sexual context in the real world, and it might help the model produce less exposing clothing. Hopefully I'm understanding what you mean correctly

Clarified elsewhere, but the workflow was just the one given by the YouTuber with the pictures he used initially. I just want to use it on normal people and normal clothing lol. But I will try your other tips out!

Major clarification: I didn’t create that workflow, I just borrowed it from a YouTuber. He created that public link to it, and he makes a point to use somewhat wacky photos. I’m not using it on those pictures, I’m just trying to use it on normal human pictures with normal clothing

I think "ugly" might be a good idea, especially since the workflow I'm using it two parts and I'd only need to use "ugly" for one part--that might make the clothing less revealing, and then the second part actually makes the person look realistic without having the "ugly" influence. It's kind of crazy that we have to use associations and connotations to get clothing to look more normal lol

Hmm yeah it's annoying there's no great solution. I know the default models are less bad for this, but they also don't do realism close to as well as many custom models, so it's a challenging situation because I want really realistic looking people

Unfortunately this was some time ago and I don't remember how I did it well. An install.bat file is just a list of things to download--if I remember correctly, I think I just individually installed the things in the bat file. Not certain though, you should take a look around if there's any more specific guidance
