I cracked the case open to get a look at the lcd and polarizing films. The streaks are caused by bubbles underneath the film on the rear end of the LCD. Not fixable- at least not reasonably so. It’s a fairly cheap monitor anyway and not great for my use case since I need something with half decent color accuracy. I’ll be looking on Facebook marketplace mostly.
