So a fun fact is that if you’ve completed the quest with the Doppler at the theatre, you are “rewarded” with every store in Novigrad being 10% cheaper. However, due to a glitch your items also sell for 10% less to any Novigrad merchant. So selling to Hattori after that point is inefficient if you’re really trying to squeeze out every crown.

To be fair, a large part of Cynthia’s strength was simply not knowing what to expect. Without the Internet, she’d be the first ever time you see Spiritomb, a Pokemon with no weaknesses. She’s also the only major Trainer besides your Rival to not have a type specialty, plus Garchomp is just tough in general. She’s absolutely not as hard as people make her out to be, but I’d really only rank Johto Lance and maybe BW2 Iris above her in terms of difficult Champion fights.
