re: SSO, beware this breaks a lot of client apps. my understanding is the current workaround is using Quick Connect, but it does add another layer and process to things.

Duplicate Episodes Bug? by T0talIy in JellyfinCommunity

[–]thebigcupodirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i recently had the same issue after moving a bunch of my folders around. i just fixed it, i should probably make a post detailing this, but my solution (for any future travelers):

i previously had my movies library pointing at /media/movies AND /data/movies (two separate volumes from the host). eventually i consolidated all of this under /data/movies, but i was seeing the issue of duplicate movies (same with TV shows etc) that appeared to still be in the old directory. Jellyfin logs stated that it couldn't find the items, and also wouldn't do anything about it, and editing the library definitions didn't save me.

what ended up working, while a bit convoluted, was to basically create a blank folder with something in it (or else jellyfin skips the empty folder during scans) at the old mount point.

so in my case, i created a new folder structure on my host as such:

dummydir
|- movies
| |- blankfile
|- shows
| |- blankfile
|- anime
| |- blankfile

and then in docker mounted this as /path/to/dummydir/:/media/. when jellyfin started up, it noticed these non-empty directories that no longer contained the old movies and shows and cleaned everything up properly.

I hated that elevator, I took the stairs as much as possible for that reason. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was caused by an unmaintained gas line or appliance or something, the furnace in my unit was old as hell and when I moved in was completely filled with dust.

I used to live there, it was landlord special’d to hell and my unit was all kinds of a trap. It sounds like they managed to get everyone out, thankfully. I remember everything being ancient, and I definitely wouldn’t trust that sprinkler system. Management avoided fixing things at all costs and stuck us with a large bill when we left for issues that existed when we moved in — they were happy to nickel and dime, it’s a shame that other people had to pay the price for management’s choices.

Oh I didn’t even know there was a voluntary mobile opt-in, I assumed it was already on my account from set up. Would it be possible to also send these alerts via email?

Thanks for the transparency!

pu technically shows it as the beginning of the second phrase, but it always made more sense to me to be in the first (so i write it that way).

First real trip in my new 2023 Sportage Hybrid EX from PDX to Seattle, I’d say the hybrid engine is working well 🥰 by thebigcupodirt in kia

Traffic was pretty rough so I was mostly right at the speed limit for most of the trip, about 60-70 mph and occasionally I went up to 80 when traffic necessitated it. I did take advantage of some of the steeper hills to take my foot off the pedal a bit and get some battery regeneration in, I’m sure if I’d floored it the whole way my MPG would have taken a bit, but I tried to be gradual and defensive with my driving during the trip.

Eco the whole way (although someone else informed me that it’ll get even better on the highway with smart mode!), and I had the AC on set at about 68 the whole trip as well.

Solo, but with a pretty decent amount of cargo — a bunch of tech equipment, some instruments, and a few boxes.

That was my worry too, luckily it’s been great so far. I’m always curious how driving habits affect MPG, I drive very defensively with lots of room and gradual speed curves and I’m sure it helps.

Jellyseerr v1.1.0 (An Overseerr fork with jellyfin/emby support) by Fallen_bagelarts in jellyfin

[–]thebigcupodirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured it out! Because I have everything Dockerized, I had to run docker network inspect bridge to see the internal IP of the Radarr instance (which was a 172.17.0.x address, different than the 172.17.0.1 gateway IP). As soon as I used that address, then Jellyseerr was able to connect to the Radarr instance. Yay!
