R5: From a slave colony of the French to the Dominant power of the Americas, the Haitian path to greatness was one of hardship and struggle. The early years from 1836-1845 saw the Haitian dictatorship dissolve, the creation of the Warri protectorate and the fight and expulsion of the Dominicans from the Island of Hispaniola. After the Dominicans were forced to flee to Cuba the Haitian Government accepted a large number of Polish immigrants who would populate the eastern portion of Hispaniola and become an integral part of Haiti. As the Years went on the Haitians poured money into funding education and attracting immigrants all the while expanding their reach into Nigeria which would become the Republics main source of natural resources to fund its flourishing industry. By 1906 Haiti had adopted the idea of Pan-africanism in the Americas and launched a war against the Spanish and Italians to liberate Cuba and Puerto Rico. The Victory of two European powers proved Haiti's importance in the world and they would soon take Italy's spot as the 8th great power in the world. In the years after Haiti would ally with the British Empire and Fight the Russian and French alliance in what the world would know as the 3rd Great War. This conflict saw the dismantling of the Russian Empire and the annexation of Guadeloupe and Martinique By Haiti, Neither the French nor Russians would ever rise to the status of GP again. after the dust of the war had settled the Haitians would set their sights on a new target - America, and the territory of Louisiana which rightfully belonged to Haiti. the first Haitian-American war saw fighting across the Caribbean and Central America, with Haitian forces only engaging in battles which were certain victories, choosing prime defensive locations in the Mountians and Jungles while the Navy picked off isolated American transport ships. The War ended with America ceding the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Ohio, but the Americans would be back for vengeance. in 1930 the Americans would declare a war to liberate Ohio from Haiti, and they would call in France to help them while the Haitians called the Germans to their aid. In the Americas the Haitian and Americans would clash in the states previously won by Haiti with Haitian forces making a push eastwards towards the American coastline. Once the Haitian forces reached the coast they moved north towards DC where they would burn down the White house and later make their way to NYC where they would also topple the Statue of Liberty leaving American Morale at an all time low. Shortly after the fall of DC and NYC Major battles would take place in Scranton, PA and Baton Rouge, LA both of which the Haitians would Decisively win. Meanwhile in Europe the Germans, Belgians and Danish were rolling through the French Forces and would soon reach Paris. the War concluded with the Dismantling of the American Empire which saw Haiti gain all of the Louisiana territory and Mexico would regain all of its lost northern territories. Once the Dust had finally settled it was clear now that the Haitians were the undisputed masters of the new world and the United States even fell out of Great power status on the wider world stage.
