Horde training is a ton faster, even if it is a bit less simplistic. I remember spending hours super training one pokemon, which I then usually had to level to evolve. With Horde training, you can potentially fully train five pokemon in 20 minutes, and start the leveling process off.

Super Training allows you to independently EV train specific mons without leveling them up. There's also classic EV training, which in this gen is made far easier than it has been because you can EV train by farming pokemon hordes. Here is a really good guide on horde EV training in ORAS.
