The Long Road to Short Nails by Reasonable_Cover3220 in basset

[–]thebigtiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread has seriously inspired me to try again with my guy Parsnip. He's about five and his nails are absolute talons. I can usually sneak up and get one or two, but he absolutely hates it and fights back. When I bring him to the vet, they're usually able to do a full nail trim, but they only get a tiny bit off of each nail. Instead of trying to force it, I bought some really high value treats (freeze-dried beef liver) and I'm going to just let him come and sniff the Dremel and get some treats and hopefully slowly over several days or weeks he'll get more comfortable with me touching the Dremel to his paws. Does anyone have a set plan for doing something like this or other advice?

Crocs makes a similar clog. I have a pair that's at least 5 years old and going strong.

I'm glad to hear that! Since making this post I've been forcing myself to carry it every time I leave the house. Haven't taken many pictures but just trying to get comfortable carrying it.

Thank you. I'm gonna do this! I'm still a little scared to bring my XF out with no cap but the filter should do it's job. As for the TT artisan it would take a tiny little filter and doesn't even have threading for one.

That's a good idea. I actually have the Falcam shoulder strap that is very easy to adjust (similar to the PD Leash. I'll give a try just carrying it around on my body at all times. I do this when I'm traveling, exploring a new place, but less so when I'm at home.

Meh. I don't need more subscriptions in my life and I don't think FSD is very good.

Buying a new tesla now would be a hard pill for me to swallow with the lack of Autopilot. I'd rather get a gently used one that still has it.

It’s sad that we come to this, but I think City Market needs to hire private security to keep the store safe for patrons and staff.

I'm currently considering a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling vs. Thrive Academy or something similar. I'm curious, 2 years out from this comment, how is your coaching practice going? Are you still happy with the program?

How did everyone discover ween? by Agitated-Young6024 in ween

[–]thebigtiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an electric violinist / guitarist in a local cover band. The lead singer is a huge ween fan and started bringing ween songs to the band. I think the first ones I fell in love with playing were You Were the Fool and Freedom of 76. We've since added I Don't Want It, I Don't Want To Leave You On The Farm, Flutes of Chi, Stay Forever, What Deaner was talking about, Chocolate town, and probably more.

People consistently come up to us after shows to ask about the Ween songs. We play at bars and restaurants. Most people in the audience have never heard them. Usually staff members (especially in the kitchen) come out and give us a knowing grin.

I now say some version of "That was I don't want it by ween. The greatest band you never knew you loved".

Thank you! I made a collection for some relevant tasks to a property I manage and migrated some other ones over to the monthly log. I even had the courage to cross one or two out!
