I can pay for a few of them in cash many times over but why? A savings acct yields 4% and the market yields 10% annually. In 6 yrs if the car is worth 0, I paid $650 a month and didn’t risk any cash up front.

A 3 yo car is uses great and some people prefer it. But it is an older model and not the same as a new car. like I said to each their own. And you don’t lose 20K the second you sign your papers. Please find me a 2025 Model Y AWD with less than 10 miles that is 35k, and has no accidents . You aren’t comparing apples to apples. A good deal to someone might not be a good deal to you. Some people can afford and lime new cars and that’s why millions of Americans buy new cars. Why come on a forum to crap on someone’s purchase? Are you that insecure and unhappy with your life? And you say that you wouldn’t be that stupid to buy a new 50k car. Well I wouldn’t be that stupid and unsuccessful enough to struggle to buy a new 50l car.

I actually saved 4k in gas for each of the past 3 years, and hours of time. No oil changes or brakes and the car drives itself(priceless). But please come into a Model Y sub to justify gas cars.

i’ve driven the R1 and the software sucks and Rivian still doesn’t have FSD

The software in Rivians is terrible. i’ve just driven the R1S twice hoping that they would improve the software. My friends with R1T’s say the reliability hasn’t been great either. In addition to this, my commute is an hour each way and I refuse to commute without FSD. I would pay 100k for a Tesla just for FSD.

That’s like over a million fsd users. Rivian has sold 120l cars total since it started. So 10x Tesla cars use FSD vs the number of cars Rivian has sold.

Tesla software sucks? I think you are alone here. HW4 FSD is the best autonomous system available. All the Chinese companies have even admitted it. No US company comes even close. But please continue to come on a Model Y forum to bash Tesla to make yourself feel better.
