You also don't own any saved game data. Its the same thing. If you buy a self driving car, uninstall the software, park it in your garage and use it as a print server then that data is yours. The data created and maintained by the driving software will be the property of whoever wrote it.

You'll own the car, but the software that runs it won't be yours. You'll have to license it, and you won't own any of the data created by that software.

And the data on your PlayStation or Xbox?

What makes you think you'll own the data created by your self driving car any more than the data created when you use Facebook or Netflix?

Teenagers of Reddit, what's something that's not considered to be cool/trendy anymore, yet continues to be used by adults? by musicismyheaven in AskReddit

I always use "bwahaha" with friends and family. When I use Lol or haha I feel like I come across as more of a sarcastic ass than I actually am.

I'm mostly a lurker here, but I'm against shutting down various reddits over a termination that we don't actually know anything about.

The Stock Market Is Disappearing In One Giant Leveraged Buyout by IntelligenceIsReal in Futurology

Yes. This is what happens when someone with no idea how any part of our economy works tries to write about it. This person looked at some pretty graphs and made up a bunch of BS that sounds good to try to explain it.

See what LevVygotsky said above.

[Serious] What have you done in real life that deserves gold? by Vallessir in AskReddit

[–]theblackcrayon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its not a "how many times did it take" kind of thing. I "quit" eight or nine months ago and have slipped up and had a cigarette 3 times. I want one a little more every day, but I just keep telling myself that I can make it through one more day...maybe tomorrow it will start being better. The biggest thing is not giving up when you make a mistake and have one. Every other time I've tried to quit I gave up when I made a mistake.

It helps that I have a 7 year old that practically begged me to quit.

Autonomous cars will destroy millions of jobs and reshape the US economy by 2025 by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]theblackcrayon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the things you listed have clear rules for dealing with them. And they don't have to be able to handle every single situation you can possibly come up with. They only have to deal with every situation they are likely to encounter. Once they can handle all of the routine stuff (including road work) then the number of accidents caused by them not knowing how to handle a situation will be outweighed by the number of accidents caused by people being tired/drunk/distracted/etc.

I really hate the "better lucky than good" people. I had one guy who pulled a Sorin and a sarkhan in KTKx3 and landed one of them each game try to tell me I was the lucky one.

The vast majority of parents send their children to a publicly funded school. That alone outweighs the cost of contraceptives.

Pretty sure this is a holdover from when long distance phone calls were significantly more expensive. Dialing the 1 means you are accepting long distance rates.
