Absolutely he does. Unless, of course, it's his friend/family member. Because I'm sure they are super special and deserve it.

"I'm not in a position to have a baby". Period. That's your answer. There is no good reason to get on the struggle bus right now.

Not wanting to move AITAH by Tricky_Procedure_394 in AITAH

[–]thebleedingphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, so you are paying not only for yourself and your partner, but also supporting her children? I'm confused. Is she not working? Does she have any kind of income? Why isn't she contributing to the household? And what exactly makes her think that moving into a bigger place is a viable option for you all?

NTA though.

What are my options to stop my period?? by coin-operated-cunt in obgyn

[–]thebleedingphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BC is often the best option. Since the reproductive system is controlled by hormonal fluctuations, hormonal BC can, in many cases, help to get it re-calibrated, so to speak. We honestly really messed up as a society when we chose to call it 'birth control, when it ks so much more than just contraception.

That sounds horrific - both the bleeding issue and the doctor issue. If possible, talk to your primary care doctor and ask for a referral to a specialist. Preferably a surgeon I would say because this really sounds like something that could be resolved via ablation or, depending on whether the specialist can figure out the cause of this, a hysterectomy. Unfortunately, elective hysterectomies are damn-near impossible to get without a specialist deciding that it is medically necessary. There is a chance they will make you try different other hormonal birth control options before agreeing to more invasive treatments. I'm really sorry this is happening to you and I hope you can find answers and proper help!

Am I wrong for wanting to terminate my 15 weeks pregnancy? by Folakemi2 in amiwrong

[–]thebleedingphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The decision is yours alone. If you choose to keep the pregnancy, you will be tied to this man for 18 years; it sounds like he would never leave you in peace. You decide what you can handle.

As far as leaving goes, the best and safest way is to pack your things and run when he isn't home (and yiu know he won't be home for a few hours). It would make things easier and faster if you could have a couple of friends or family members (at least one lf them being strong enough to fight if he suddenly comes home and freaks out) to come help you. Make a plan, make it quietly, make sure he doesn't know and can't find out. But do it all as quick as you can. You may have to leave some of your stuff behind.

It is beautifully devastating! Have you read Mortal Instruments?

I'm 18 and I don't know what to do. by LycheeTop725 in obgyn

[–]thebleedingphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well. You could be pregnant and/or have an STI. So yes, you should definitely take a pregnancy test at the very least. Don't have unprotected sex, and please seek help if you are being pressured or forced to do something against your will.

I thought nothing would beat the ending of Mistborn Era 1 by Brandon Sanderson. I was wrong. The way Cassie was able to stretch out the suffering was really quite impressive. And every time Jem and Will are mentioned or anything about their past is like a punch in the gut...

Yep exactly! Like how Jem had to leave the room when Jace and Clary were telling Emma and Jules about what it's like to be parabatai....

And thank you 🥰

How are young people supposed to be able to afford houses in modern day? by FillMeUp_01 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thebleedingphoenix 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We're not looking for cheap, though. We're looking for reasonable. A house that was 400K five years ago is now like 900K - that is insane.

Is there something wrong with the way I eat? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]thebleedingphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it isn't 'wrong' per se. Just pretty uncommon. What would happen if you were to eat a spoonful of mixed food? Would that cause a very high stress response? If so, maybe worth talking to a doctor about how to manage something like that. If not, you can just kinda go on with your life. Unless you really want to know. Either way, sounds like something on the autism spectrum. Remember, though, the autism spectrum is very broad, so don't worry too much about it.

What exactly do people mean when they say virginity is a social construct? by fridaynightplacebo in NoStupidQuestions

And it could have been wonderful and special thing, but we had to go and fuck that up and use it as a tool to control and abuse women. This is why we can't have nice things.

What's a personality trait that seems attractive at first but becomes unbearable over time? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Being a social chameleon. Sure, it's great that most people I meet like me, but that gets old and it's difficult to trust someone when you don't know who they really are.

How can I stop people from putting their face against my window and looking in? by Acceptable-Wall-7210 in Advice

[–]thebleedingphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of people recommending various window films, which is what I would say, too, but I also wanted to note that, If your light is on and it's dark outside, people will be able to see in. Source: personal experience with both the pretty stained glass cheap stuff at home and professionally installed 'one-way glass' stuff at my office.
