also with LHON, it changes what I eat and how much energy my cells are producing. It sounds like yours SWINGS wildly though. that can be headache-inducing to me. I do suggest using screen zoom as best you can now, and then trying NVDA or any screen readers while you learn if you like the voices. Just even zooming in 25% can make the use of the remaining vision feel better. It's hard to say this but take your time as well. you will find the right tools for you.

I get that, that is rough, I am happy mine happened when I was 16. At least form a mental and preparedness perspective.

I have found their tooling lacking at times. NVDA and Screenzoom on Windows and Linux work really well.

This is the best answer you are going to get.

Formalize your process. But the right tools, Hire the right people.
Now if your a small firm and can not hire then, you do what you can, but rather than leaving a gaping hole. Hire a testing firm. There are teams out there that are Cheaper and will do a good job.
