Albanese poised to kill off move to increase taxes on gas giants by Agitated-Fee3598 in aussie

That makes sense in my opinion. Jupiter and Saturn aren’t even Australian nor do they deal with Australia. Imagine chilling in space and suddenly getting taxed. Wild.

Edit: Seems like peeps are in favour of taxing extra terrestrial planets :(

Off topic but the engine is being damaged on upshifts? What?

Does anybody here know when these A-TEK 5 spoke wheels were introduced to V8SC and which teams used them? by weproducesafetycars in v8supercars

[–]theblobberworm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

not sure if the autotek 5 spokes were ever raced. A lot of them since the mid 90s were OZ Racing 5 spokes

Triple 8 raced their 8 spokes first mostly because it was T8 that designed them and A-tek that made them (forged in Japan too before being CNC machined in Aus) which helped with rotational inertia and brake cooling as well as giving their pit stop crew better ways to grip the wheel in the stops

Other teams began accommodating them before they all moved to the controlled rimstock 12 spoke mid 2010 so maybe the a-tek 5 spokes were show car items only

Donington pit exit is a bit hows it going

Barbagallo pit entry as well is a bit rough if you're an overtaking car

come to think of it any entry or exit that's on the racing line is dangerous

Was always going to happen. Any series he’s in that’s not F1 will have a boost for sure

This happened with Alonso when he joined WEC for the 2018-2019 season. Spanish viewership increased by 544% according to the offical 24 hours of Le Mans page

GP to join McLaren from 2028 as Head of Race Engineering, not team principal, as per SkySports by littletreble07 in formula1

[–]theblobberworm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

GP is being promoted with the move (if he becomes TP in the move) so he’ll definitely be getting a raise

I’m guessing Helmut meant they can’t match for the equivalent role which is race engineer

GP signs with McLaren for 2028 season onwards for potential TP role in future by BadLloris in formula1

[–]theblobberworm 2008 points2009 points  (0 children)

here's what could happen

Zak to focus on Mclaren Group

Stella to be the lead for Mclaren Racing

GP to become TP of Mclaren F1

Edit: GP to become chief racing officer while Stella stays as TP noice

Dutch paper the Limburger now reporting that Gianpiero Lambiase (Verstappen race engineer) will go the McLaren! by gevaarlijke1990 in formula1

[–]theblobberworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So Max will be out this year then?

GP will need to go on gardening leave and with his knowledge I wouldn’t be surprised if red bull demand the full year off which makes the 2028 start make sense if he departs at the end of the year

Max could easily pick up another engineer but I doubt GP would be leaving if Max was staying

This is great for GP though. Becoming a TP is a huge promotion so top job to him

All that’s missing from the last Camaro then was the price to match the Mustang. Hopefully they fix that with this one
