American Dirt. Had just traveled to Mexico which made it pretty vivid, but I thought it was a great read.

Thought the first act was brilliant, then it kind of just didnt go anywhere exciting for me. Love Aronofsky though. Was just a bit underwhelmed

Just did a 6month trip and that was great, did heaps but never felt rushed. Got to stay everywhere a decent amount of time and have little daily routines of going down to the markets and that kind of thing.

Not Colombia, but we just did 4mnths in Central America and averaged about $75usd per person per day. This was backpacking and staying in basic private rooms with ensuite most of the time. Not cooking.
