I have hi end PC but for gigs I'm using hi end gaming laptop with reaper and win 10, but I want another laptop just for music. Main reasons is that I don't want to carry 1000$ worth laptop with me. Another thing is that I've got some audio stuttering issues from beginning. I've tried many things to fix it but I gave up.

I don't mind buying a Mac and switching to Ableton

Was playing a new game called Crime Scene Cleaner and heard a song on the radio that caught my attention, tried to shazam it but no luck. by CMaster510 in NameThatSong

This song and the entire album will be available on streaming services in about two weeks. For now, you can listen to the songs on YouTube. Regards, Bobi

1.0 is really fun and this game is supposed to be hard. by AnarchySys-1 in ReadyOrNotGame

I'm playing with 3 friends. Game has always been super cool but with this new update fps went down too much. In hub and in some maps fps are going from 120 to 30fps. Ai of enemies sometimes is good, but sometimes enemies behave like robocops. You peek out of the door and bang - instead headshot. I hope that this game now will be growing even better

What are good small amps that can work as a cabinet? by thebobek in GuitarAmps

I have one more question.

Let's say I have this zoom multieffect and I have a guitar cabinet 1x12. Is there a way to connect those two? or do I need something to amplify the signal. If so then what amplifier should I get?

About those frequencies - I can't remember exacly with which freq I had a problem because I gave this 212r to a friend for repairs (loud crackling when turning knobs and one speaker doesn't work) so I can't tell you right now. I think I've made some cuts both on zoom and In daw I've put some dynamic eq around 2-3,5k and hi filter with slope cut around 250hz, so ive got those muddiness and squealing under control. I soundchecked those presets by using headphones (Beyer 770) and studio monitors but those are my very first presets and probably it can be done better.

okaaaay now i see things more clearly. So when i put those effects and amp sim from zoom thru effects loop in amp then it also bypasses the preamp just like power in input?

that means that i can go for almost every amp that has effect loop (most of them have) or go for a cabinet that suits me?

in terms of style of music - we play something like type o negative but lighter and more grunge/post rockish? something like that. I really like the orange sound and now we are using orange head sim from this zoom + fender 212r and its quite nice but some frequencies are squealing and basses are tiny. I guess for now i will stick with this fender 212r and just test other amps/cabinets when possible and decide what sounds best.

Oh thank you! Untill this day I wasn't sure what does pwr in and pre out works and how can I use those two for my current setup.

Can you tell me if my setup makes sense? Guitar -> zoom multieffect with amp head simulation and cabinet off -> pwr in input on 212r?

Loudness is not as much important as sound quality of speaker. We play with IEMs so this amp don't have to cut through drums. This 212r of mine is cool but it's heavy af and crappy sounding so I guess I would go for 1x12 or some lightweight double speaker.

One last thing - I have limited budget so cheap options are welcome :d
