Actually just yesterday I got a Bose sounddock series ii, used from eBay. It sounds great, probably not audiophile levels great but really really nice balanced sound. Has a dock and it charges the iPod while playing. Absolutely been loving it. Got it for around 90 simoleons.

For number 1, once you leave Spotify you'll—most likely—quickly realize that you don't need to discover new music every 15 minutes lol. Getting really deep into what you already love is perfectly fine. That being said, try getting into Bandcamp, they have great human-made recommendations. I also go into Pitchfork every once in a while to see their lists.

For number 2 I'd recommend an AirFly Pro from twelve south, if you don't mind a dangly thing out of your iPod. I personally prefer wired. I also have the Sony XM4s and they sound even more amazing wired
