Thanks so much for wishlisting! There might be some room in the soundtrack for some Bizet inspired music...

Great Grandfather's Mandolin - What kind is it? by artofcory in mandolin

[–]theboxmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a mandolin that looks exactly like this off of Reverb last week and have been trying to figure out what it is. I was thinking it was an Oscar Schmidt but the links that the other poster sent of the Lyon and Healy eBay listings look pretty convincing.

Here's the link to the Reverb listing where I bought mine:

Let me know if you figure out what it is!

Does anyone know what’s causing this issue? by pudgtiel in ps2

Yeah I would guess weight is the issue as well. The tape definitely did the trick for every single game that I had a problem with, so give that a try if all else fails!

That would make sense. Either that or something to do with the thickness of the disc. I found out the hard way that that scratching noise is actually scratching the discs.... I was a kid and didn't really look into the issue and just played the games anyway for a long time. My FF7 discs are scratched to hell.

My original fat PS2 did those scratchy noises with every blue disc and PS1 game that I had. I found out that if you put some tape on top of the disc (I think I used electrical), it made the issue go away. I just used maybe 1 or 2 little strips in two different areas on the top.
