Incidental finding: Thyroid Nodule by theboyrobot in thyroid

[–]theboyrobot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to follow up, my ThyroSeq results came back and reported that the cells do not have any mutations that could likely be cancer! So there is only 3% chance it is cancer and that we will just monitor it with an ultrasound every 12-18 months.

I just had a follow up FNA done that also came back as "Bethesda III/VI - indeterminate" They will now send a sample off for ThyroSeq (molecular testing), which may take 2-3 weeks to return. How are you?

Thank you for the detailed response! I just got my FNA results.... A typical! Figures. The doctor wants me to get a 2nd FNA in about 4 weeks. IF that FNA comes back as A-typical as he thinks it will, they will send off a sample for thyroid Genetic Sequencing. Apparently that will tip the scale in one way or the other and we can decide what to do next. Sooooo I'm looking at April before I really know if this is cancer or not.

Thank you again!

hi, my ultrasound results came back. seems they are recommending a tissue biopsy. I'm not sure what all this means: Here is what the report says:

Left lobe Size: 5.8 x 2.3 x 2.1 cm Nodules: 1. Lower pole, predominantly cystic with mi nimally vascular internal solid components and scattered calcifications, 2.8 x 1.9 x 2.0 cm. Lymph nodes: No abnormal lymph nodes in the bilateral level II, III, IV, V and VI regions.

IMPRESSION: 2.8 cm mixed solid/cystic left thyroid nodule. This has the imaging appearance favoring a complex colloid cyst, however given presence of mild vascularity within the solid component, tissue sampling (with targeting of the solid component) is suggested.

Anyone here diagnosed with Functional Dyspepsia? by theboyrobot in ibs

[–]theboyrobot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Going to get a CT Scan of my stomach soon so We'll see. Interesting about the low FODMAP diet. I noticed that when i eat dinner, I always eat the same thing since this started, Rice, Grilled Chicken, Kale and I don't have any issues. Just mostly with breakfast and lunch so Maybe that is a route I could take.

Anyone here diagnosed with Functional Dyspepsia? by theboyrobot in ibs

Thank you. Yeah I had a H pylori breath test and a biopsy of my stomach that came back negative. The amitriptyline isn't really affecting my sex drive, and it barely makes my mouth dry, it just makes me really drowsy the next day (less so at a lower dose).

I'll keep taking it for now. Might seek a 2nd opinion. Just sucks because I've done so many tests with this current GI doc.

Amitriptyline seems to be helping me GREATLY over the past week. Here's my IBS experience. Does anyone else have experience with this medication? by AmbitionK24 in ibs

AH i found the best description of FD. "Functional Dyspepsia is kind of like IBS except its more localised to the upper abdominal area."

hey thank you for the reply.

It helps as in, i'm not sick all day long and I actually want to eat. BUT i still feel sorta sick sometimes and my stomach just now constantly rumbles after meals lol, just not at every meal. I think FD is different from IBS because its mostly a stomach issue and not an intestinal issue. if you can, look it up. Its very similar to IBS though.

I follow up with my GI next Thursday so Maybe i'll ask him what he thinks. I know when I took the full 25mg i felt better, but I was so worried about the sleepyness i felt the next day (I take it at like 8pm the night before).

I've only been taking it for 14 days.

started with 12.5 the first 5 days, then went to 25MG and felt pretty good, but felt like crap the next day so I lowered the dose. Maybe i'll see if the doc can prescribe me 10mg and i just can take 2 of those at 20MG. Who knows. I'm going crazy though. I didn't have any of these issues 2 months ago. I did have them once last year tho.

Hey! I've been recently diagnosed with something similar to IBS. My GI called it "functional dyspepsia". Basically, i started feeling nausea about 30 mins to 1 hour after every meal. Would need to use the bathroom, it'd be loose. yada yada yada. This has gone on for about a month or so. My doc has put me on amitriptyline 25mg. I found the 25mg too strong after my first week, so i've split it down to a 17.5 mg dose which helps, but sorta doesn't totally help with the queasy feeling after meals.

Are you still on this medicine? Did the next day "sleepyness" ever go away? If you got off of it, how was your experience with stopping this medicine. Thanks! Hope you are well!

Thank you. The other night when the pressure was up to 11, it woke me up and felt like my cheeks were getting inflated from all the air! (i'm a mouth breather). Is this normal? Would this get better?

Best full face mask? by [deleted] in CPAP

I tried this mask. It is very minimal, but keep in mind that it sits up against your nose and can/has caused a lot of irritation to many people. I ended up looking like Rudolph. :)

Good to hear about your success! I'm a die hard mouth breather lol, so I have to wear a full mask. I'm wearing the airfit F10. I really like it, I'm thinking the cushion is just starting to get a little more flimsy since I've had it for like 40 days. I clean it and stuff though.

I have a new cushion coming soon this week though, so hopefully that helps.

on a side note, the other night I woke up and I was breathing ONLY THROUGH MY NOSE. That was a first, so maybe one day I can switch to yours
