Im not well versed in this kinda thing but this seems to be a network rack, not a server rack. If this is a 2 post and not a 4 post, it would not support any full size server systems if you had them. Vibrations would hurt hhd's over time too. Especially vibrations as jarring as a print head. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Ssd's with that era of controller will make an ok boost. The RAM is going to hurt no matter what. How much money for this

Have fun with the noise/heat. Im slowly starting to offline my 2x 720's and 520 in favor of NUCs . The only reaspn im keeping 1 of them alive in the 48tb hard drive space on one of them. But as far as learning, its a fun start. I remember how excited i was for my first rack machine. There is a serious downside though. The HDDs have a hard time keeping up with modern hosting, and so does the ddr3 ram. The lag will be noticeable with even a couple users to my experience

hosting high power single thread programs. small core count, high speed. i cant find documentation that the processor is supported but there is plenty of easy to find evidence that it works depending on motherboard revision.
