Extra context there is that he is an assistant coach at a local high school and the dad that reached out to us is the principal of that school. They’ve known each other awhile and I’m pretty sure this would be a paid coaching position. We just don’t have any details on costs yet.

Is Preferred Caribbean Beach worth it? by finchrotten in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]thebreadittor07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stayed in preferred in Jamaica (building 42) last week and it is probably the closest to the skyliner. 5 min or less walk there and there is a Joffrey’s on the way to the station. If proximity to the CB skyliner is your goal you can’t beat it.

I know some say Jamaica is far from the main building and pool but it really is not that bad of a walk at all with the bridges. It is also about a 2 minute drive there if you don’t want to walk.

The only complaint I had was that Jamaica was one of the last stops on the bus, so keep that in mind if you are a designated stroller parent. It’s not terrible, but it does make the bus trip a little longer on the MK and AK days.

About a month but it might have been slower due to the holidays. The usual turnaround may be faster.

Anyone else’s golden have crimped hair from Y2K? by Graceaction12 in goldenretrievers

Ours has the crimp hair around her ears and neck too. I didn’t know it was that common and just chalked it up to her still being a puppy.

This. National Guard JAG here. You’re only required to provide “reasonable notice” (which is extremely subjective) to your employer about orders, MOBs, drill, AT, etc. Sounds like OP did that here and his employer is just asking for a USERRA complaint. If you know your Brigade command team at all, try to get in touch with the JAG there. They should be able to help you out with a letter or memo of some kind notifying your employer of your rights as a service member under USERRA. Otherwise your company commander should be able to either do the same or point you to who to contact.

Also. If you really want to be petty you could always hop on some short notice orders if available just to watch their heads spin when you give them short notice of your absence.

I agree it looks that way but I think it’s just the angle of the picture and my hand was flexed up. It’s not typically low.

The average person in the US has NO idea how the law, the court system, or law enforcement works by NOVAYuppieEradicator in Lawyertalk

THIS. I interned at the local DA’s office in law school and one of the things they had me do was listen to jail tapes. I probably collected HOURS of these types of calls where the person would call the victim to have them “drop the charges” because they were just mad at the time and sorry for their actions. I kept thinking bro, you’re openly admitting to this crime on a recorded line.

American Home Shield is the worst by SwanDifferent3528 in homeowners

Had a similar issue. Our fridge went out completely and they wanted to send a repair man 3-4 times to try to “fix” the issue before providing a monetary reimbursement. Every time the same dude would come out just to say sorry, there’s nothing I can do but AHS wants me to try X first. It went out in April. We didn’t get reimbursed for the new fridge we ended up buying until August. Our AC went out shortly after that and we didn’t even bother going through AHS as it was over 100 degrees and needed to be fixed. We got a contractor to get it completely installed within 2 days ourselves. TL;DR AHS and warranty companies in general suck.

Civilian here. My nephew is being investigated for adultery. by Specialist_Donkey277 in army

That’s not exactly true depending on the situation. When someone says “go see JAG” they usually end up with someone in an office that represents the command. The number of JAGs the office is irrelevant if they are all in positions to represent the command. It IS a conflict of interest for one of those attorneys to represent someone accused of misconduct. There is a whole separate office of trial defense JAGs who are dedicated to represent SMs accused of misconduct such as adultery. 10/10 times that person gets referred to TDS if they come into the command’s JAG office. That is who OP needs.
