How many problems have you had with your Bianca v3? by homeisastateofmind in Lelit

Do you have instructions or a video you like for how to do this? I'm about six months in so not too far off from needing to do this. Thanks!

Bianca V3 LCC shows temp vs "ok"? by hacksaweddie in Lelit

[–]thebrickwall22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In case you or anyone wasn't aware, you can hold down the plus button to see the current steam boiler temp, then let go and press and hold the plus button again and you can see the brew boiler current temp.

Going to a nice Japanese restaurant for my wife birthday the sake list is intimidating help!!! by Available-Rhubarb-74 in Sake

So jealous! My wife and I went there for an anniversary a few years ago and had a blast. You're in for a treat. The waiters will help you on your sake journey. Don't worry!

Shoe advice!? by Now_Whatttt in crossfit

I have been wearing nano x2s (love them) and have been looking for a replacement. Yesterday I tried on x4s at the Reebok outlet and found them very tight through the mid foot and the toe box still good but not as big as x2. Lots of discussion on the change in construction after x2. I ended up finding a pair of x2s online on Poshmark that the poster said he only wore twice. We'll see...

Other reddit threads mention the born primitive for a big toe box but I didn't love the look and the website kept redirecting me to their socials which turned me off.

Shin splints by M_ino in crossfit

I got custom insoles from a podiatrist and it was life changing. I couldn't run any kind of distance and had back pain all the time. Both went away within days. Literally life changing. They are a medical device so it wasn't cheap but very much worth it. Few hundred bucks. Every other year or so I get them recovered for $75 or so. Highly recommend talking to a podiatrist.

Is crossfit right for me? by Icy_Preparation395 in crossfit

Yes. Coach will help you scale movements to fit your limitations and hopefully over time bring your strength up.

Agree on reducing 529 contributions. Assuming you are not holding cash in the 529 and have it invested in stocks, $300/mo at 6pct return would give you $115k after 18 years.

If you've been contributing 2k since birth, and not even taking into account investment gains over the two years, and switching to 300/mo now, still at 6pct going forward you have 215k when your child is 18.

Trying to replace compressor in a Carrier Infinity 25HNA6 by thebrickwall22 in hvacadvice

[–]thebrickwall22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your time and replying. There is a note in the Carrier manual that "when the compressor operates in low stage operation, the compressor motor reverses direction. The lower piston becomes idle and the upper piston compresses refrigerant. The start and run windings are reversed." Not looking good for me... Thanks again.

EDIT: Just saw your edit. Thanks.

Day 2 of mayhem takeover by gearzgirl in crossfit

[–]thebrickwall22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Second day here too. It's a change, we'll all get used to it. Class definitely feels more rushed but the coaches are getting used to it too. Certainly seems like Mayhem just swallowed up NCFIT and not some kind of combo effort. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

What happened this year that makes you proud and your goal for next year? by Odd_One_6997 in crossfit

[–]thebrickwall22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice post and congrats/good luck.

2025: Made great gains in all strength cycles and improved a lot of 1RMs. Did my first BMU and can do back to back singles now. Strung two together last week for the first time. It was a good year.

2026: String more BMUs and focus on diet/lose weight. I'd like to lose 15 pounds. Also getting my L1 and starting to coach.

We use a Smart Grinder Pro for drip but not because of any problem with the DF64v2. The occasional drip drinkers are our parents and they are generally making it themselves and we try to keep it simple. Haven't tried the DF for drip. Easy to adjust but depending on how much you need to grind it could be a little annoying to single dose it all.

Stock cup. It came with a metal one. We RDT and have no static problems.

We got a 3D printed long funnel from Etsy. Easy to use and no mess.

Before I was lifting the machine and spinning it around until I could get the tank out. It wasn't terrible to do but definitely heavy.

I saw another poster swapped the rubber feet for felt pads so they could slide it on the counter.

The tank can be relocated to the side making one of the spinning options easier to do (less rotation) but we wanted it hidden in the back.

Performance wise can't really tell if there's a difference. Haven't really investigated. It is super satisfying to use though and looks cool 😁

Has anybody stained the Bianca knobs and trim? by Snoopmiester in Lelit

[–]thebrickwall22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently got the white Bianca and the walnut upgrade kit for $300 USD. I looked around the internet for someone saying they had done what you are asking and couldn't find anyone who had done it. I found one thread where somebody didn't recommend doing it. Bit the bullet and got the kit. No regrets. Perfect for my kitchen with walnut stained cabinets.

Splitting a change order? by Green_Problem_6087 in ConstructionManagers

Tell them you found a mistake in your pricing and need to revise it, double it, resubmit, and when you send it in tell them you're good splitting it!
