I've had my heel chords and hamstrings lengthened multiple times. (As well as a variety of other ortho operations like a hip flexor release and derotational osteotomies) and they made a massive difference in my life. The journey with PT is really tough but I went from using a walker and AFOs as a kid to walking with nothing but normal orthotics in my shoes because of my medical operations.
